about making myself sick and just generally how i felt about food. he's refered me to an eating disorder clinic.

can anyone who's been through this tell me what happens in these places? what they expect me to do or talk about.

i just want to be mentally prepared so that i really can get help.

thanks x

I commend you on seeking help, and on your bravery to do so - it isn't easy. Has he referred you to an outpatient program (going to see therapists, doctors, a nutritionist), or day or inpatient (staying inside of a hospital or centre either during the daytime, or staying there full stop)? Though I was threatened with daypatient at one stage, I have never had to stay in a centre, but my experience with a clinic was being sent between therapist, doctor and supposedly meaning to see a nutritionist - they fell short on the last one, but then the clinic wasn't too brilliant in my case.

Either way, I hope that they help you out and that you can move on with your life and in fighting your ED. Good luck. :]

the clinic will most likely weigh you. set you up an appointment with a nutritionist and set you with a therapist. congratulations on coming out with your problem. its a huge step.

sorry for not replying sooner, i'm not able to get online very often.

i was told i would recieve a letter through the post letting me know when and where the clinic was that i was being refered to but its been over a week and nothing has come. i dont know how i'm meant to feel about this, it was so hard telling him and now nothings happened.

its just ridiculous.
