Recipe Ingredients for Tomato Based Beef Stew

2 yukon gold potatoes
2 carrots
2 medium onions
1 clove garlic
2 T olive oil
1 7/10 pounds stew meat
1/4 cup white wine
2 T cooking sherry
14 1/2 oz Beef broth
6 oz Tomato paste
28 oz Tomatoes, drained

Recipe Directions for Tomato Based Beef Stew

Heat oil in a pan to med-high heat. Season beef with salt and pepper and add to pan, saute 2 minutes. Place beef in slow cooker. Add onions and garlic to pan, saute 5 min, add to slow cooker. Add remaining ingredients to slow cooker. Cook 8-10 hr on low.
