Toning up the belly & thighs?

Quote  |  Reply

Hey guyss,

I'm 5''1 at 103 lbs && I'll be going on to a cruise two weeks from now (winter break!!), so i guess i want to look my best :) My belly and thighs are not very flabby, but i would realllyy like to tone them upp, especially the belly area. I've done lots of sit-ups before, so I guess i have an okay basis for abs-building, though right now I just want to get rid of the flabby area so the abs actually show.
Anybody has experience in toning up the waist (mainly getting rid of the fat more than building abs)? Something that will showw a bit of a result in about 2+1/2 weeks? :) Also, any ideas for thighs? :)

Thankss!

That's not very much time at all, honestly. The best thing you could try are some heavy weighted (relative to you) squats and watching every calorie you eat. Don't get your hopes up though. Seriously, that 2 weeks will be here before you know it. Your body just doesn't go that fast.

In 2 1/2 weeks?  I'm not so sure.  It took me a month to start seeing results on my current ab plan, which consists of an ungodly amount of crunches (exhale when you crunch, hold for three seconds, relax- I don't recommend this if you can do elevated situps), flutter kicks, leg lifts, and an oblique machine (each repetition should take 5 seconds, swinging back and forth is worthless) and a diet that involves eating 5 times a day.  Again, the exercise is for strength and upping the metabolism- it's the diet that gets rid of the fat.

if you could get your hands on a copy of ab ripper x i would recommend that. can't promise anything but it's a serious ab workout.

Ab exercises are useless for seeing real fat loss results and the kind of overall muscle strengthening that you'd need to enter the state of developed musculature and low bodyfat that the fitness misinformation magazines like Shape calls "toned".

If you have 2.5 weeks, you can do one round of  Real Fast Fat Loss- if you are prepared to suffer. It is not a workout program for the deconditioned, the un-coordinated or people with no previous weight training experience. But if you are capable of performing it as described with the 30 seconds or less rest intervals between exercises it will practically rip the fat off your body.

thankss guys. lol yes i do realize that 2 weeks is a awful short amt of time. I guess i just wanted to ask for some future workout ideas. As for now, I'll do what i can, though i probably don't have much time throughout the day for workouts. Thanks melkor for the article, but woahh.. I'm definitely not the kind of person who can withstand all that work! >_< I'm also more of a yoga person than a cardio person. :D

Just did some measuring, and my waist's about 25in. I would say that's good enough for me, considering i haven't done much work to get to it lol.

But thanks guys! I have this yoga abs routine that i really like, so i guess i'll stick to that. Meanwhile bestttt wishes to everyone :)

Not enough time to really see your abs pop. The best thing for you to do with such little time is. Burn fat all over, and link yourself to one of these abs Diet programs. Do some yoga and running..... And hope for the best out come.

If your already doing that routine, and aren't happy with the results, why continue with the same routine?
