Toning up certain "problem areas"

Quote  |  Reply

So I've been doing circuit training 3x/week for about 3 months now and I do intense cardio once or twice a week. But because I'm so close to my weight goal (on my last 10 lbs), I lose weight really slowly and body fat slowly too. However, I have a pretty big rear, flabby belly and bulgy arms. are there any kind of exercises or stuff in particular that I could do?

keep in mind, I'm a full time student so I really really really can't do 7 days of weights a week

thanks :)!

you can start out at home for certain workouts-- invest in a GOOD resistence band to start with- you can add weights in later once you see the progess! you can break these up over the day-- like I say-- after my coffee, i do my floor butt work of bridges, donkeys, etc-- i don't do them all straight through- but break it up-- like I do 4 kinds of push ups after my gym cardio at home before i hit the shower-- breaking it up into 15-20 min sessions at scheduled times of other things i HAVE to do makes sure I do them! you know?

look at exrx.net for proper form -- and you don't need weights- weigh out your school books in a back pack & squat with 20lbs, 40lbs etc - AFTER you get good form down!!! same can be done for arm weights- etc...

for the butt-

  • squats
  • lunges
  • plies
  • donkeys/doggys
  • bridges

for core/abs

  • planks
  • side planks
  • trunk twists
  • knee ups w/twists
  • so many many ab options! for arms

arms

  • push ups
  • pull ups
  • resistence bands for bi's & tri's & shoulders & back

good luck- just do it!
