My Toolbar is missing some things...

Quote  |  Reply

Hi,

I'm new to this site (just joined a few days ago).  I downloaded the toolbar, but mine doesn't have the Eat Meter, Grade, or Lbs, shown in the pic under Tools, Toolbar.  Is this because I have a Mac perhaps?  Can I get these things?  The toolbar doesn't seem much help without them.  Is there somewhere on this site that explains the Toolbar in depth (I've tried wading through the forums and Help doesn't seem to have it that I can see).  Thanks so much for your help with this.

P.S.  I am in love with this site.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

i have the same problem, did you get to the bottom of it?

Hi Mark,

No, I never got a response.

I too am missing those and would like to have them. Would a moderator please chime in and let us know how to get those features?

Every bit of info helps when you are just starting out. Please fix this feature.

Well, nice to know it's not just me... I wasn't sure.

Apologies for the difficulties - can you let me know if this is the toolbar for Internet Explorer or Firefox?

Mine is for Firefox. Version 3.0.7

As I mentioned in the email, I've uninstalled and reinstalled it now twice. Thanks for looking into this.

Thanks - not quite sure what might be causing this issue, but could you try the following:

  1. Visit this URL and try reloading a few times to see if the toolbar data fills in: http://caloriecount.about.com/cc/account/inde x.php
  2. Send me a Private Message with whatever you see at this URL: http://caloriecount.about.com/cc/toolbar/user message.php

Your first link just took me back to my home account page. I "refreshed" several times. Nothing

The second link went nowhere.

I"m really looking forward to having the tool bar work. It will be great motivation. Hopefully you are still trying to get it to work.

Thank

Update

I got it to work fully. Since I'm using Firefox I was able to go into the add-on window and click on update at the bottom left. It updated/loaded toolbar version 1.3.3

Then log in as normal.

While troubleshooting, I had gone so far as to try and load it on IE without luck. Seems the latest download version is not loading 1.3.3 it has to be manually updated after initial install.

Thanks _myloss - that's very helpful.  Do you know when you first installed the FF toolbar?

Probably 2 days after I first joined, which has been maybe a week now (approx).
