Your Top Beauty Secrets Revealed..Do you dare?
Whether it comes in a bottle from your favorite department store or is something your mother taught you from the early age 13 we all have them.
You know what I'm talking about, the little "extras" women swear by to keep their skin looking radiant, their lips looking fuller, or their hair flawlessly curled while dancing the night away in a New York club.
Some of them may be home remedies passed down for generations by mothers to daughters in your family, others maybe a trick your best friend or sister taught you, and maybe even others you picked up online or read about in a book or magazine.
We all have our own little secrets to looking fabulously beautiful.
The question is do you dare to tell yours?
Some of the beauty secrets I swear by are:
1. Mixing Brown sugar and olive oil together and using it as a face scrub. It makes your skin very soft and radiant on days when you look like the walking dead haha.
2. Another trick I use everyday is mixing olive oil, lemon juice, and bio oil together and rubbing it into my face for two to five minutes than I take two big ice cubes and run them all over my face until they melt almost completely. After that I pat my face dry. It gives your face a nice dewey glow and wakes up tired eyes.
3. Buttermilk or Heavy Whipping Cream for a facial cleanser. It gives lots of moisture esspecially for winter skin.
4. Using Dry Coffee Mix on legs to help tighten and get rid of cellulite on legs. It works well but takes time to see results.
Haha, my nan used to make an olive oil and sugar scrub - I've never used it though :)
I swear by plain old vaseline for dry lips and ashy elbows - not really a beauty secret, but it's what I think works best! (so does Tyra Banks btw, I don't know if you've seen that video of her going hyper about it, it's hilarious :p)
Oil of Olay moisture lotion, spf 15. Every day.
Try not to wash your hair everyday... 4 days a week MAX and it'll stay nice and siny AND clean.. Won't be greasy.
For perfect curls with naturally curly hair, wash your hair before bed, towel dry, but don't you dare lay down until your hair is lightly damp, too moist to straighten it but too dry for any water to seep onto your tee shirt. When you wake up, a dab of something to make 'em shine, shake your head, and watch everyone be jealous. People swear I get my hair permed or am trained to curl it on the days I wear it curly.
When all else fails accept the effects of gravity.
Put vaseline on your eyelashes before you go to bed. You won't be sorry.
If you take a light eggshell white eyeshadow and outline your lips with it very lightly and then add your favorite lip gloss it will make your lips seem larger and add a glow. You can also use the same eyeshadow in the corners of your eyes to take away dark circles and I sometimes take the brush and put a little on the the tip of my nose. It adds a very pretty glow. Maybelline has an eyeshadow color called eggshell that works very nicely.
For soft skin, I use baby oil right after a shower and then rub baby lotion on right after applying the oil. It locks the moisture in your skin keeping your skin soft all day and night.
For soft feet, soak your feet in hot water and a teaspoonful of tea tree oil and sweet oil. It gets rid of the dead skin and leaves your feet looking great and feeling very soft.

Interesting. What will happen?
You'll wake up blind, but you'll never have to work again.
Gub'ment checks for all!
Okay, I listed more than 3...so I guess just stop reading after 3 if ya want. When I decided to change my lifestyle, I did so inside and out from head to foot. This is some of what I've learned.
Hair:
Wash hair no more than every other day and brush with boar bristle brush (to distribute natural oil)
Moroccan Oil on the ends of damp hair
If ya want waves in your hair, wash it before bed and dry at the roots. Twist and knot, then secure with a hair-tie to add a little extra glamour to your beauty sleep results.
Occasionally, wash hair with baking soda (to remove residue) and rinse with apple cider vinegar (for shine).
Occasionally, cover damp hair with Extra Virgin Olive Oil and cellophane for 20 minutes and wash out. Really softens hair.
Get plenty of B vitamins (biotin!).
Skin:
Mix crushed aspirin with honey and apply to inflamed acne to reduce redness
Too much vitamin A can cause skin to dry out and flake
For dark circles, use a skin tone pencil under the bottom lashes, upper inside nose bridge, and lower socket. Blend in.
Almond oil, honey and lemon juice lighten skin
For feet, apply jojoba oil (or olive oil or almond oil) and wear moisture socks to bed.
Oil based creams for hands.
Moisturize morning and night, never go to bed with make-up on AND
WEAR SUNSCREEN year round.

Yes, yes, yes. This works great for naturally curly hair. I do this frequently in the summer. It doesn't work so well in the winter when the air is very dry.
Vaseline - For dry feet, knees and elbows
Noxzema - For washing the face. It is the best.
Ponds Cold Cream - For removing makeup or replenishing your face when it is dry.
Witch Hazel - Great toner and really, really cheap, if you have hemorrhoids it works well on that too, cheaper than the medicated pads.
Baby oil - All over moisturizer and a great cheap alternative for shaving lotion.
For the hair:
- Rise your hair with flat beer. Makes it shiny and soft. Don't rub it in, but let it just slip over your hair. be sure to rinse again with COLD water or you'll have "beer hair!"
- get a trim every 6-8 weeks. if your hair is long enough you can do it at home.
- lemon juice is a natural lightener for hair
- massaging the scalp everyday will help your hair become more shiney and healthy because more natural oils are released from your scalp. And it releaves stress!
for the skin:
- use salt or sugar with your cleanser for a home made scrub.
- a refridgerated spoon can help reduce puffiness and circles around the eyes. Just press the back of the chilled spoon over the area with firm pressure and the swelling will go down a little
- you can use your lipstick for blush in a pinch. Just a dab will do it!
for the teeth
- hydrogen peroxide is a good teeth whitener. Just gargle a mix of 1 oz hydr perox with 3 oz water twice a day
- brushing your teeth with baking soda is good for breath and whiteing teeth too.
Best beauty tip ever... stay out of the sun and don't smoke! Your skin will look younger for longer without those damaging rays and chemicals.
Nivea Soft. on face, neck and hands at night, rich, but soaks in fast and leaves skin so soft.
After shower in AM, Vaseline intensive care lotion mixed with spf 55 on ALL exposed skin. (I live in Las Vegas... sun protection and moisture are essential).
Eyelash curlers before mascara, every day! (incidentally putting vaseline on eyelashes might make them soft or whatever but is not a good idea if you wear contact lenses).
When I am dying my hair at home, I wrap my dye covered head in cling wrap while waiting for it to "take". I found it helps to stop drips, inadvertent rub off on clothes and makes the dye work faster (due to head heat?). For dark dyes, smear a little of the conditioner from the box around your hairline. No tide marks!
When my kids were small, I used undiluted teatree oil for getting rid of head lice (was an epidemic of them at their school). Pour it on, smother it all over the roots (where the lice are) leave overnight and wash off in the morning. It's cheep, effective and much more safe than the chemicals they sell at the pharmacy/ doctor's office.
I use Cetaphyl Facial Lotion with SPF 15 EVERY day...but the trick is to make sure you also lotion your neck! It gets just as much sun as your face when you are out and about unless you wear turtlenecks all year long :)
Also, I remove my makeup with baby oil (non-scented) and it makes for a great nighttime moisturizer!
Also, I have issues with dry hands (I work outside alot!), so I often scrub with a sugar and olive oil mixture after warming my hands in warm water - it works great. Apply more oil or lotion afterwards!
For dry feet, I rub with oil or lotion and put on cotton socks before bed!
Don't forget to drink tons of water!
I use the Cetaphyl face wash and find it great, not too drying.
My fav beauty tip is body lotion moisturiser with a built in fake tan. Not sure what brands you have in the States but we in New Zealand have Dove (my pick), Johnson and Johnson, Garnier plus a few more which you can buy cheaply at the supermarket. These are great because you need to put moisturiser on anyway right and then the fake tan slowly builds up each day and is less streaky.
Also big advocate of sunblock - we have really harsh UV rays in my country so if you dont wont to get skin cancer or melanoma you have to wear it, plus it keeps skin looking younger (less wrinkles).
Okies, I have a question for the hair posters:
You really only wash your hair every other day or whatever? Even if you work out?
I sweat a TON when working out, which I do every day. If I didn't wash my hair, it would stay all sweaty.......
....PLUS, my face is so oily all the time, that it seeps into the front part of my hair always making it oily anyway (I have tried hair spray and/or clear face powder to take out the oil, but it never works).
So I guess I jsut don't understand, though, how anyone could hold off on washing their hair if they sweat/workout every day?
Ok, my tip: Gold Bond Ultimate Healing Body lotion...not the green bottled medicated stuff, but the white bottle. BEST> LOTION. EVER.....but don't use on face, it's WAY too heavy for htat!
Avocados.
They make a brilliant face pack. You can also make a mask for your hair with them. You can use it to reduce the puffiness around your eyes (particularly good for a morning after). And, of course, it's full of EFAs all good for your diet. xD

So you can keep track of what you eat - which enables you to analyze your foods and receive the following:
