hello I am new to this thing too. I just started last week. I have about 40 lbs to lose and I think that I can get there by the time I really need to. Its just going to be a lot of work. But you can do it. 20 lbs would be great to lose. Im like you not a big fan of exercising but I bought a treadmill last week on Monday and have ran on it all but 2 nights and let me tell you even though its really rough since i am so out of shape, I like it more and more every day. So keep it up.
Hi, I too am new to the whole thing. I keep telling myself it's a lifestyle change and not a "diet" -- I want to lose 30 pounds by September 1st. At work, we have a gym and I've used it a few times and felt wonderful after it.. BUT it's hard for me to motivate myself to do it everyday. I have a 19 month old little girl and so after a long hard day at work, I want to go immediatly and pick her up to spend time with her and my husband. I thought about getting a treadmill for the house, but haven't decided yet.. I know you both are going to do terrific.. you sound very motivated!! I'm rootin' for y'all. ![]()
Hi! I'm new too! I'm 22(23 next month) 5'9'' and want to lose a bit more than 20 lbs. I am 175ish right now and want to eventually get to 135...so about 40 pounds to go!!! My short term goal is to get to 145 by fall. My game plan is to stay around 1400 cals/day and to run a lot(I plan on running in a half marathon next january). mykrr3-do you get bored running inside? Right now it is gorgeous outside so running is nice, but I am sure I will want to move my workouts inside this summer. I used to use elliptical machines a lot, but I just get bored with them!
I am all for weekly weigh-ins/ workout anaylses if you ladies would like to do something like that for extra motivation!?
Hi! I'm 26 5'8" and 135#'s. I am looking for account-abil-a-buddies (sorry, South Park reference). Let me explain . . .
I have lost from 176 in November of 2005. I am a certified yoga instructor and have completely changed my life to lose the weight and keep it off. I, being human, have bad days - scratch that, I have AWFUL days but it helps me to be there for others. I've learned this about myself (also why I chose to be a teacher from a totally non-related field).
In my quest for weight loss I've tried just about everything but my best time spent has been with a nutritionist in Manhattan for about 8 months and yoga which helped me immensely!
So I'm here if anyone wants a friend. :-)
I'm 5'8, going on 22, and looking to lost about 15-20 as well! It's so not easy and I workout all the time. But, I drink as well which doesn't help me at all! I'm taking my sports nutrition consultant exam in May and my personal training exam in June so let me know if you need any help!

Figure out what type of eater you are and you might just find the answer to permanent weight loss.
