i woke up to 18 degree weather how nice!

very much being a sarcastic bitch here I dont know how anyone can love this winter weather.....

I made baked ziti with wheat noodles

ew big mistake the wheat ziti is really nasty tasting...........

how was your night?

Good morning Ang! It was 53 when I got up this morning and I was very cold - had to throw a sweater on. So you know I would have turned into an ice cube in 18 degree weather. Its funny, 8 1/2 yrs ago I used to wake up to that weather also, but Im so acclimated to FL weather now. Ive turned into a cold weather wussy!

My night was good...went to get groceries, dragged my ass to the gym finally and then chilled out on the couch for a bit before bed. I had a horrible time falling asleep. Im wondering if working out that close to bed time was the problem. We went from 7:30 to 8:30.

Thats sucks that the ziti wasnt good. I dont usually mind the whole wheat pasta, if its mixed with somethng. Maybe the baking it made it taste different. What kind do you use Ang? Ive been using the Barilla Plus Multi-Grain and to me it has a better texture and taste then a lot of the whole wheat pastas.

try a brand of pasta called "dreamfields".  It was carbs but does not raise sugar level....great stuff and is satisfying every now and then.
i cant even remember what brand it was..........

gm bernibp never heard of dreamfields pasta
I cant work out that late in fact i gotta be winding down by 7 in order to be sleepy by 9........i get up at 430 am otherwise if im up doing things until 9 then im up until midnight trying to get myself out of work mode and into sleepy mode.

GM Berni...Ive never heard of that type of pasta either, I will look for it.

I need to add some new dinners into the mix...the boys are getting tired of chicken breasts, lean porkchops and pasta LOL. We have chicken more than anything. I do throw a night of tacos or hamburgers or stir fry in there too. But honestly, the chicken is so easy to make and I am nothing if not a lazy cook =) Im not fond of it, so I always look for the easiest, quickest things to make. Add in the fact that I usually go to the gym after work, so I get home around 6, come right in and start on dinner. I also have a picky hubby, so that makes cooking a challenge. Theres a lot of stuff that he doesnt like, so theres a lot of stuff I delete from my recipes.

So all this babbling leads me too...I need some new, easy, healthy recipes! =)

I think that may be true for me...the winding down a few hours before bed. I went to bed at 10 and tossed ad turned until midnight. I dont function well on 6 hrs sleep. It probably didnt help that I was up 3 times to pee! LOL

I hear you on the recipe thing kerry

when i grocery shop i buy the same damn thing every week

im tired of chicken and pork im also tired of wheat noodles or wheat anything for that matter and im starting to hate rice..........

I know there is a ton of recipes out there but im in the same predicament as you kerry hubby is really picky so its like the same freakin thing every week

with the exceptions to adding some new soups into the mix im a big soup eater hubby hates them but i been making him eat them this week haha
Neither the hubby or son like soup that much, so I just make it for myself. The hard thing with making casseroles or anything of that nature is that I have to leave so much out of it...like onions, green peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, cauliflower and on and on (just trying to think of things he doesnt like off hand). He doesnt like bacon, sausage or ham (he will eat a little ham if he must lol) and the only veggies he will eat is corn, peas, green beans, potatoes, carrots and broccoli - IF its in something like stir-fry. When we have pasta, he just puts butter and cheese on his because he doesnt like marinara sauce. He will however put Ragu Pizza sauce on his pasta or ziti - EEWW! LOL. Theres more things he doesnt like, I just dont feel like typing them all out =)
I woke up to snow. I love snow, just not when I have no winter boots yet.
gm lily

i woke up to really cold weather no snow yet but it did flurry yesterday.......

kerry your hubby sounds even more pickier than mine and i didnt think that was possible lol

Good morning OM!

Hmm, not so fond of the snow myself...its pretty to look at and all, but driving or walking in it. Yeah, not so much.

Yes Ang, he is one picky person. But then he eats weird (and gross) stuff too. Like candy corn soda. And cheese wiz sandwiches.

There's candy corn soda? What?
Good Morning, Ladies!  It's 30 degrees here.
I had a disapointing visit with my dr. yesterday afternoon.

Yes...Jones Soda makes all sorts of odd flavors. Ive even seen gravy flavored pop at Thanksgiving time

Good morning and brrr Chrissy! Uh oh, what did the doc say?
Sorry to hear that, Chrissy! Is it anything a gravy-flavoured soda will fix?

I dont think theres anything that could fix

Since I've been off birth control (About a year and a half), I've had more bad days than good.  I have such terrible depression and panic attacks.  I find myself yelling or crying uncontrolably sometimes.  I was due to go for my yearly exam, so I told him about what I have been going thru.  He said, "You need to talk to your pharmacist.  If I was to prescibe you something, you would be worse than you are now.  You dont seem to depressed to me anyway."  Keep in mind, my hubby had known this man and his wife and children for going on 5 years now, I have been going to him for about 2 years.  He wouldnt suggest any vitamins or supplements to take, only that my pharmacist knew what would work.  After the exam, when we were just talking in his office, I asked him if going back on BC pills would help.  He said, "It might and it might not.  There's no way to know for sure, but I'm not going to put you back on them, because you & Hank need to be thinking about starting your family.  If you go back on the pill, it will decrease your chances of being able to get pregnant.  Hank will make a wonderful father, so you two need to really talk about this. "  WTF!!!!!!
