Why is it so tough to lose 4-5lbs? Those who've accomplished please tell me how?
Everyone has different goals on this site, but I do get encouraged reading the posts.
I'm 5'2" 112 (was down to 111 last week but had a bad weekend)
sw=119
gw=108
I work out 50min/daily 5-6 days/wk. I do have a desk job 40hrs week. I do my best to walk around the office instead of sending emails/ or calls. I've upped my intenisty added weights and interval training.
My original goal aside from the # is to fit my clothes better so i don't have to buy new. I am/have achieved that...got into my skinny pants easily and have worn them to work 2x's.
I realize it's only a number but I still want to hit it. So how have you done it? I just want to see it's doable in a reasonable about of time and effort.
I don't know but I am in the same boat as you.
5'2''
today weighed in at 112
last week was more around 110
I want to be 108
and my starting weight was 128ish.
Just like you my original goal was to fit in my clothes better - which i definitley do and I dropped a pants size (in some stores two).
i started at 119 and now fluctuate between 108 and 110. 5'0" female. my goal weight is 106. these last few pounds are EXCRUTIATING! i have been seeking advice myself. i work out a ton (5-6 days 1hr to 2hrs daily cardio and weight training..interval training..the works)...and still not budging on the scale. everyone says 'Just stick to it." i am eating on average 1200-1400 and am freaked to increase calories which many people advise.
I would definately recommend increasing your water. while i was losing..i was drinking a gallon and a half of water everyday. (still am)stopped eating after 7/8pm. i replace my morning meal with a high protien soy shake right after my workout. cut down on fruits A LOT...would only put 1/5 of a banana in my shake and maybe once a week or so had a bowl of strawberries and blueberries. had large salads everyday.
i wish you all the best..hopefully someone else will post with some "last pound helpful tips!!!" best of luck!
Yeah, it gets harder once you're already that small. I'm also 111 lbs and I am 5'1"/5'2" and I've noticed that I can only lose about a third or a half of a pound per week, no matter what I do with my diet. D:
But since .3 lbs isn't very much, I can easily gain it back and destroy a whole week's worth of effort in half a day (1000 cal) if I'm not perfect. :(
Is jump roping as good an exercise as running?
In terms of calorie burning, moderate jumping is about equal to running a 10-minute mile, although calorie burning is always a function of time... Read more
