Toxic Food Confessions

Quote  |  Reply
Ok....

I have eaten some TERRIBLE things for my body. I want to get them all off my chest and VOW to never do it again! What is the most TERRIBLE thing you have eaten? I will go first!

P.S...

This is SO embarassing!

1. I would "under pop" EXTRA BUTTER microwave popcorn and ONLY lick the butter out of the bag and suck the butter off the seeds. *shutters*

2. Take a WHOLE block of cheddard cheese and melt it on a plate and eat it just like that.

3. I have eaten an entire jar of alfredo sauce with a spoon.

I can't believe I am admitting to this!

Whenever I used to drink, I would do stuff like that. Pretty much the same as you said. I have eaten a block of velveeta and I have eaten a jar of cheese dip. I love cheese.

Wow - those are impressive.  My worst has to have been eating like a half of a roll of pillsbury choc. chip cookie dough.

I learned this disgusting habit from my mom.

Haven't done it in years, though.

I do make my own choc. chip cookies from scratch now, and I get a little fix by licking the spoon, beaters and bowl when I'm done, but it's a LOT less than the amount I used to gorge on.

My mom used to make us something called "tortilla dogs" in the Fry Daddy.  It was a weiner, wrapped in a corn tortilla with a toothpick through it, deep-fried.

My mom really did not raise us right, nutritionally.  I had no concept of decent nutrition until well into my 20s.

One of my friends in high school would pop buttery microwave popcorn, then melt some butter in some oil and pour it over the top of the popcorn.  SO BAD, but it tasted just like movie popcorn.

I once ate like half a can of sweetened condensed milk.  Also large amounts of chocolate frosting... straight from the can.  I have the worst sweet tooth.

ive definitely eaten a whole roll of pillbury cookie dough in one sitting

ive also eaten a whole 3 rows (straight down... the entire big package) of oreos while staring at the microwave.

ive made brownie mix just to eat it, not lick the bowl, but eat the whole raw mess

2 boxes of mac and cheese straight in my stomach, with no problem... i could probably do it now

Oh cheese. I think I can eat a whole block of garlic herb goat cheese or a bag of shredded mexican cheese like it's candy.

Sweet sinful candy.

Definitely eaten like Papa John's pizza when I was younger and seen that I had left over garlic butter sauce after I was finished with my slice... and felt no shame in finishing off the garlic butter sauce with my finger as the dipper. I really only ate the pizza as a condiment for the garlic butter.

I'm just glad they don't deliver where I live now ;)

Once I was going to bake cookies, but the cookie dough was so good I decided not to bake it at all. I put it in the fridge and ate it by the spoonful over the next week.

This isn't all that toxic, but it is amazing now that I think about it. I've eaten three pounds of grapes in one day. I just started munching grapes when I woke up, and by the time I went to bed, the Costco sized box was gone. Everyone else in my family hates grapes, so they all knew what I'd done, lol.

Also, I have a tendency to go overboard with the ice cream sundaes. I think, "Okay, let's add some Vanilla ice cream, and some chocolate... Ooh, strawberry sorbet, that would be good! And I'll add a banana, and some peanut butter... And hot fudge, and whip cream, and one of those disgusting red cherries..."

Entire blocks of sharp cheddar cheese in one sitting.

Entire bags of gold fish, dropped into my mouth one by one while lying on my back and watching Jerry Springer while I was at home alone during the summer.

Whole boxes of pasta roni, with added olive oil and parmesan cheese.

Loads of raw cookie dough.

Also, I used to bake and decorate very elaborate birthday cakes for my family.  While I was making them, I would probably eat cupfuls of icing, a little at a time.  This was homemade icing; all that was in it was Crisco and sugar!

And in middle school, in the lunch line, I would mix like 3 packets of mayo and 2 packs of ketchup to eat with a mound of french fries.  That was my lunch.  That or pizza drowned in ranch dressing.

Also when I was little my dad, as a treat, would let me eat a bowlful of PURE POWDERED SUGAR.  And when I would make cereal as a kid, no matter how sweet it was, I would add so much extra sugar that when I was done eating the cereal, there would be like an inch of sugar left in the milk at the bottom of the bowl.  Then I would eat that too!  Gaaah!  What was I thinking?

I'm cringing remembering some of these...

I've eaten a can of boughten frosting, like someone else mentioned.

I've definitely licked nacho cheese containers.  After eating it by licking it off my fingers.  (probably would still do this, truthfully.)

I like plain brown sugar, and will sometimes pick the lumps out of the bag.

I've eaten entire boxes of cereal in one sitting.

Aw geez, I used to do that with corn flakes as a kid.  GROSS.  No wonder my kids don't like cereal the way I did.  I only let them eat it plain!

I can only guess you grew up in the south. I haven't heard the word "boughten" since I was growing up in Texas.

Actually, I grew up in Ohio.  XD  I thought that the word looked strange as I was typing it, though.  I use it in speech but this might be the first time I've used it in writing.

I've also eaten an entire can of icing at one sitting, or a jar of nutella, or about a kilo of chocolate covered blueberries, or a jar of caramel sauce, or one of those giant Toblerone bars.  I have a colossal sweet tooth.  I also eat brown sugar by the spoonful.

When I was growing up, my mother couldn't keep sugar cubes in the house because I'd eat them like candy.  I still like eating them with a cup of espresso: dip the sugar cube in the espresso, suck the espresso out of the cube, repeat :)

I've never seen them state-side, but in Europe you could by giant crystals of raw sugar to put in tea or coffee.  SO GOOD.  My brother and I would eat them like candy all the time.

I think that raw and brown sugars are SO much tastier than white sugars.  XD

We also used "brung/brang" instead of "brought", and "snuck/snook" instead of "sneaked" - LOL

I ate a deep fried twinkie once.
