Transformers 2 was a terrible movie
unessarily lengthy, repetitive, meaningless and overated
I could never even get through the first one beginning to end without falling asleep or turning off the TV due to the repetitive computerize robot fighting boredom
I have no idea why I wasted my time going to the sequel... it was like being inside a geeks wet dream of giant robots and hot girls that he could never get with
there was like maybe 10 minutes of actual acting done in the movie.. the rest was all done on some nerds computer
it didn't even get very good reviews, most viewers were quite disappointed
(my boyfriend didnt even like it!! and that says a lot haha)
I want those 3 hours of my life back!!.. and my 10 bucks!!

I saw both the first one and the sequel...I thought that they were both pretty good, though they aren't usually the type of movie I would see. My only complaint was the length of the movie, as I seem to have a short attention span, haha.
for the record, the movie got pretty bad reviews in general.. not just my opinion. check out the newspapers, magazines and internet (I wish I had looked before I wasted money)
many about it being meaningless and overated.. and for all the hype it created it was rather dissapointing
one critic even said something along the lines of: "transformers was terrible, if you dont want to waste your money, just go into your kitchen blast the radio and have your kids bang pots and pans together; close your eyes and use your imagination"

Transformers was a pretty lame movie...mainly because it was really corny and slow!!!

Bad reviews from critics, great review from fans. Fans > Critics
of course "fans" would like it... they go into the movie with the "I like Transformers" mentallity, so that they only notice the good parts, and disregard anything bad
completely biased
that's like a Star Trek Geek.. or "Trekky" going to the Star Trek movie, of course they'll like it, even if it is terrible.. why? because they believe that they will like it
but put that Trekky into a Star Wars movie and they'll probably hate it... because to them Star Wars sucks and Star Trek is awesome
...
going into the Transformers movie I was neutral, I didnt hate or love transformers to begin with.. but I know what's entertaining to me, and while the movie kept my attention for about 30 minutes and wasn't too bad, the rest of the 2 hours was just agonizingly boring and repetitive
one critic said "transformers is 30 minutes of entertainment stretched over a period of 2.5 hours"
I couldnt agree more.. there was no reason they had to make the movie that long
...
and for the record Year One wasn't too great either.. but it was better then Transformers
if you want to see a movie that's actually good, I reccommend The Hangover!!
I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it! I loved nearly every minute. I agree it could have been shorter.
I think it depends on what kind of you movie you like (I like nerd wet dream movies) and I didn't expect any philosophy. I did enjoy a great deal of wonderful special effects.
Most of the time I like Megan Fox but I can certainly see why some don't. Me. . . I'm jealous. . . she's hot physically. Can't say about her personality because I feel like most actors and actresses are acting ANY time they are in the public eye.
I hope you find one you enjoy! Sounds like you just needed a little venting session! I hope it helped!
No no no, Fans are the hardest critic to please. They don't look at it with a "I like transformers" mentality. Watchman for example got creamed by fans of the novel. A fans review is more open-minded than a movie critic BECAUSE they know the background and the story, while a movie critic watches the movie as it is.
There's a bunch, as a fan, I can point out that I didn't like about either movies. Bumblebee's car changed. Starscream didn't have his original voice. Soundwave was a satelite dish. Mudflap and Skidz are not twins, and Mudflap has a french accent. And Jolt isn't even a real transformer (they made it up to put the car in the movie for General Motors). Just to name a few. But I did enjoy the movie and I watched it as if it's another Transformers universe and not the one from the cartoons/comics that I'm used to.
A fan doesn't go into a movie thinking they'll like it, they're going because they like that world but they will be the hardest on the film.
You're idea of a fan going into a film is completely wrong. =/

And I don't understand why people hate/love Megan Fox, she didn't exist till the first Transformers and after it I forgot all about her til Saturday night. She's just another actress to me.
I think Megan Fox is beautiful...but her personality is ugly which makes me angry
I wouldn't have a problem with her if she was a nice person, but she's not. Every interview I see her in she is very full of herself and bitchy, and always seems to have something rude to say about another person.. she's like a Paris Hilton.
There's tons of beautiful actresses in Hollywood, and when they have a beautiful personallity to match then they are AMAZING... but Megan Fox lacks in the personality department, so it just makes her annoying
and like you said she's probably acting everytime she's in the public eye.. I bet her real personallity is even more fake and stuck up then the one we see on tv or in magazines
Transformers was an awesome movie -- for the movie it was supposed to be. IAW -- not Titanic, Pearl Harbor, or Sideways, etc...
Transformers II -- not so great (too long in the desert), but still an enjoyable film for the movie it was supposed to be. Lots of special effects, guns, fast cars, etc...
FTR -- going to a sequel when you hated the original pretty much takes your complaining card away from you -- is there any movie (perhaps Godfather2) where the sequel was actually better than the original?
just saying
"would have" left. Not "would of".

I never hated the first one.. I just never saw the entire thing beginning to end. I always usually seemed to get stuck watching the same parts over and over again for some reason, and never got around to finishing the whole thing.
Yes, sequals usually are pretty terrible.. but there are some that are pretty decent.. Harry Potter, Shrek, and umm hmm cant think of anymore right now.
regardless I went into the movie thinking "hey this is going to be good because it has Shia LaBeouf in it (love him) and my sister said it was awesome" but to my disappointment, it was, well, disappointing.. even with Shia LaBeouf
I did however enjoy the sexy blue eyed military guy.. probably the only thing that got me through the whole damn movie

Oooh! He's fiiiine!
Huh. Well I'm a nerd and a geek and anything else you want, and I agree, I thought it was very lame. If it's full of cool tech-y robots and hot girls, why did they have to ruin it and make it all corny and boring and stupid?
I went to see it with my true epic nerdy friends (as in those who own transformer toys) and nobody liked it. Maybe we're snobby nerds, but we agreed it relied way too much on dumb comedy and epic boob slow motion.
You know what was horrible? The decepticon that transforms into a human girl. It kind of ruins the whole point for me.
