Treacle?

Does anybody know how many grams are in 1 desert spoon of treacle? I'm trying to figure out the calories so I can sneak it into my breakfast 

I thought it could be about 60cals? I'm not too sure though.

It really depends...could be anywhere from 50-150 calories (is it homemade treacle? a heaping spoonful?, etc.). I like to weigh/measure what I'm eating on my kitchen scale so I know for sure and don't agonize over the amount of calories.

Well its just a normal desert spoon... same amount above as below. At least that's how I was taught to measure it. It's just a lot of hassle getting it all off the spoon to measure it. I just mix it into my warm breakfast and then put the spoon straight in my mouth so ... 

Also I have an awful, cheap set of scales that aren't electronic and fail to measure 1-25/50g very accurately. 

Ok...290 calories for 100 grams, so 60-80 calories would probably be about right. Enjoy your breakfast!

spray the spoon with spray oil. it should all come off then :)
