Treadmill or Freestyle Cardio
Usually for my cardio i use the treadmill for 20 minute and do HIIT. I warm up 5 min walk jog run then 1 min jog 45 sec sprint (repeat for 15 min) *and when i sprint i go 11 mph on treadmill*
I was talking to my friend about cardio last night and hes saying if i just go run around my regular streets around my house it'll be more effective than hiit on a treadmill is that true?? Should i just start running around my neighborhood block for 30 min instead?
Whatchya think??

This is different for everyone (I think). I started with running the neighborhood but everyone wanted to talk and kids got in my way. So I ended up slowing down alot. A month ago I returned to the treadmill. I love it! For me the treadmill is a better cardio work out for me cause I keep the same pace or I can do HIIT. I can tell I get a better cardio workout from the tradmill. Your neighborhood might be different give it a try.
If i run outside i wont be payin half as much attention as i would if i was at the gym on a treadmill.. and i dnt think id b running as fast for a constant amount of time.. i dunno.. bt my friend sounds very sure freestyle running is better than a treadmill...
maybe freestyle running is better for your friend, but everyone is different. if you arent going to concentrate as hard, then i would stick to the treadmill.
i prefer the treadmill because it lets me keep track of my time, also, i would never have the guts to run around my neighborhood. so for me, the treadmill gives me a much better workout.

i do both, rather run outside though so you can lose track of time and end up doing alot more, you can do hiit outside running too, just time yourself and sprint then run then sprint then run. then you get the fresh air also. but on bad weather days i run the treadmill. change it up a bit.
