Treadmill workouts

Is 30 min a day of 3.2 on a 1.5 incline on the treadmill along with cc a good idea for weight loss?

Sure! I did 40 min yesterday on a treadmill at 3.3 on a 2.0 incline.  The uphill helps with calorie burning too.  I love doing treadmill workouts on an incline!!

Should be fine.  Exercise is usually a great way to help with weight loss.  As a side note, walking at an incline is great not only because it burns more calories, but it's less work for the treadmill motor and should make it last longer.

I started out walking on my treadmill at home at about that pace a couple months ago and it definitely helped me lose weight and get in better shape. The incline advice from kisteel is right on, I am putting a lot of stress on my treadmill motor even at an incline of 1-2. I am up to week 3 of a couch to 5k program and blew the fuse on my treadmill yesterday (I guess I weigh too much). The motor has a 25 year warranty so I am going to see if I can fry it! Laughing

I had a really old treadmill I got used at a garage sale 6 years ago.  I started working out and using it every day.  I'd walk like a mile at about 3.5 mph with no incline and one day I decided I should do some incline but as soon as it got inclined smoke and sparks started coming from the motor area.  I unplugged it really quick but it's fried, it was doing fine until I tried the incline, oh well it was really old.  I love doing the treadmill though, I like a lot of incline and about 3-3.5 mph, when I say a lot of incline I mean like 7-10.  I would run but my knees really don't like for me to run so walking uphill works for me, too bad I don't have a treadmill anymore.

I walk on the treadmill, 3to 4 times a week, at a 3.5 pace with a 7-15% incline. You burn mad calories doing it, and when you are ready to start running it help with you calves not burning as much.... though if you want good weight loss, make sure you are strength training as well... Muscle burns more fat...
