Trend line on weight log
Why is the trend line on my weight log eight pounds higher than my actual weight on the scale?
The trend line represents the average weight over the past 10 weigh-ins. So if you have lost weight quite quickly (remember 1-2lb/week is healthy weight loss) or haven't been entering the intermediary weights, your trend will be a lot higher than current.

The blue line represents your current weight and the green line is the trend line, which displays a moving average of most recent data entries to try to provide a smoother line for members who record highly fluctuating weight measurements. We use a 20 day moving average algorithm.
Still doesn't make sense. If there aren't any fluctuations the trend should be very close to the actual. Are you using Least Squares analysis?
If I take the 10 most current weights that I have logged, and take the average, I get today's trend point.
If I look at yesterday and 10 days before that and take the average, I get yesterday's trend point.
If you are continually losing, your current will always be below the trend.
Thank you for the answers AND the questions -- now it makes sense!
