I tried not to do this.
But I need someone to tell me how many calories I need to get down to 125 lbs.
5'5", 137 lbs, 15 year old girl. I'm through growing according to my doctor, and my daily exercise comes from walking to class, keeping myself busy at home, and working out like a woman on a mission 2-3 times a week.
I was thinking that I might be able to get away with 1700 calories per day to lose weight, but apparently even that isn't enough... and all of these calculators give me anywhere from 1200-3000, which is getting me even more confused. Not to mention I have no idea where I fall on this one: http://www.kidsnutrition.org/bodycomp/bmiz2.h tml
Sorry... I'm totally lost.
A 5'5, 137lb 15-year-old girl should consume:
Sedentary - 1860 cals
Lightly Active - 2210 cals
Moderately Active - 2530 cals
Very Active - 3080 cals
From your activity level I would say you are moderately to very active depending on whether you do your extra "mission" of a work out on your day. I think a rate of about a lb a week would be fine for you to go at, which would mean you could eat about 2000 - 2300 calories and likely still lose weight. Does this help at all?
A whole lot, actually. But then you always do :D
42,000 calories.
If you mean by the month, then sure.
Actually, 42000/30 = 1400 and 42000/31 = 1355 a day... ;] So you'd be eating more in an average month. Haha.
I was about to say , 1700 seems kind of low if you are working out. Remember, if you starve yourself your body will hold onto fat.
Eat a lot , in small amounts thru the day and make sure you are eating the right things (healthy!!!)
For instance, i eat 6 times a day usually...protein shake when i wake, egg whites and oatmeal a couple hours later , a fruit an hour or two after that, sammich and an apple for lunch, protein bar for a snack an hour.....
you get the idea. Spread your food intake out thru the day and eat more.
SHOOT JUST AIM FOR 1200 AND I THINK U SHUD BE FINE![]()
IM 19 YRS 5FT 6IN WEIGHIN BOUT 165 AND IT SAID I SHUD BE EATIN 1200
jae89latina- 1500 at the absolute least if you're under 21. Even if she's done growing height wise, the rest of her body isn't, and the same goes for you.
