Trigger Foods
Hello Everyone:
So Im looking for suggestions in dealing with my trigger foods such as alternative snacks. I am absolutely in love with breads - well i guess carbs in all senses - but grains are my major trigger foods in my builima (this also includes fruit as well but its not as nearly as bad). Does anyone have a suggestion for low calorie snacks that I can turn to when I'm having a carb attack (other than vegetable because those are already in my aresnal)?
Since you've got fruits & veggies covered, I suggest string cheese. Some people (but not me) like popcorn. Nuts are good...watch the amounts because some of them pack a lot of calories, but others are not so bad. I've seen several recommendations to eat protein, so boiled eggs are good for that. There are some Food Forum entries about snacks with lots of suggestions.
I sometimes feel like it's good to have an "all carb" day: Saturday I had whole wheat bread for breakfast, lunch and dinner--with honey or cheese or nutella. A tablespoon or 2 of nut butters add a lot to the snack without a lot of calories. Then there are the protein bars, lots of different brands. Hope this helps.
