2. A bowl of spring mix - Salad with tomatoes, thinly sliced Spanish onion, chunks of ripe avocado and just a sprinkling of finely shaved mozzarella cheese. Dressed with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar.
3. Peanut butter - Oops, it fell in the garbage. :-)
4. Hummus - Either slice up carrots and cucumbers to dip in it. Or spread on whole wheat pita and add lettuce and/or sprouts for a yummy sandwich.
5. Sliced Apples - Toss with a sprinkle of brown sugar, cinnamon and a little lemon juice. In a separate bowl, combine oats with a little brown sugar and just enough butter to make a crumbly texture. Top lots of sliced apple mixture with a thin layer of crumble mixture. Bake until top is crispy and apples are gooey.
6. Whole wheat bread - If it's very fresh, just spread with extra-fruit jam (the kind with less sugar but no artificial sweeteners). If it's a little older, toast then spread with the jam. If it's really old, make a superyummy bread pudding with bread, eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla and raisins.
