So I really wanted to run today but I'm in miami and there is just a little problem that includes 5-10 inces of rain and 60 mile an hour winds. Is there any Cardio I can do inside without any machines and  just two 3lb wieghts??? Thanks you guys!

Do you happen to have Comcast cable?  They have lots of different free exercise videos on OnDemand.  Otherwise, try running up/down some stairs if you have them...

Do you have a set of stairs or two in your house or apartment building?  You can run up and walk down -- excellent cardio workout.  Of course, I realize it will get a bit monotonous doing this on one set of stairs, but hey, it beats nothing :).  Also, if you live in a building and it's safe to do so, you can do intervals on the stairs -- run up say, five flights, then turn around and walk quickly down (holding a handrail for safety).  Good luck!

haha thanks :) i'm gonna try that

jogging in place or jump rope like jumping in place should be fine.  Good luck with your exercise, and more with the storm.  Is it going to hit where you are?

I hear you about Fay [apparently thats what us Flordians have named the tropical storm]. My chairs on my balcony almost FLEW OFF into traffic.

You can do ski jumps [like jumping side to side really fast as if you were going through mougles on a mountain] in your room or do step areobics on some stairs if you have some in your house/apartment.
You can turn on some fast paced music and dance for awhile or you could do air kickboxing [like karate I guess, swift fast movements, moving your body around, etc] it may look funny but no one is around to see!

I hope this weather clears up soon, I want to use the pool!

Check out www.crossfit.com , it is a total body workout. There are videos to show you the excercises and the excercises allow you to improvise. Pretty much all you need is a couple wieghts and even just a broom stick.

good luck

Find the direction of the wind and run into the 60mph wind. You will be virtually running in place like a treadmill.  Just pretend the rain is sweat.Smile

i hate to pimp youtube videos, but....this one is good.

it only takes 4 minutes, and you can do it as many times as you like (i did it 4 times yesterday because i didnt have much time).

it's intense but short, so it's like interval sprints.
