what is your "trouble" food?
Like, what food do you have an extra hard time saying no to?
I get sick after sweets, so they're not a problem for me.
Mine are:
Dr. Pepper - a total life long addiction
Pizza rolls - I just can't explain how disgustingly addicting these little pockets of fat are.
and white rice - I used to think "oh, its healthy!" my favorite food ever. And very high in calories too. I used to eat 2 or more cups a day. ugh.
Sometimes I wish they were never invented.
So what are yours, and how do you resist the urge?
anything salty!!! and bread! and steak!
- French bread w/ butter
- Cereal: Especially Trix, Honey Nut Cheerios, Lucky Charms, Captain Crunch (with berries) and Honey Combs
- Cheese Crackers - Like Cheez-its or Goldfish
- Pizza - Only certain ones
- Home made cookies - Snickerdoodles or chocolate chip
- Licorice - Red Vines!
- Cashews
- Chocolate chips
- Grapes/Watermelon/Cantaloupe if its cut up in the fridge
Food in general is a temptation for me. I will eat pretty much anything - within reason.
Seriously though...
Chocolate Raisins are my bane. I could polish off a packet easily. The problem is that the raisins as well as the chocolate is so high in calories that it just gives me nightmares.
Oatmeal (with jam/jelly) I'm not one for sugar. I don't like experimenting with oatmeal mix-ins and toppings just in case I like them.
Granola >: D - topped with flavoured yoghurt. I've had to stop eating this for now as it is a strong temptation to get a second bowl. Occasionally i have it as a treat.
Homebaked Chocolate Chip & Oatmeal Cookies / Homemade Mince Pies - Best when they're still warm out of the oven... my mother knows how to make them melt in your mouth...
Prailines / Hazelnut-ey Chocolate / Lindt - If you have never tried Thorntons Alpini Bars, don't. Spare yourself from the addiction.
Oreos - though that isn't too bad as Oreos in England aren't as big as in the States. Unless my USA friends decide to send me a "care package" which are filled with Reese's & Rold Gold's & Sun Chips aswell as Oreos.
Lastly, Pretzels. Actually not too bad - but when you dip them in nutella, that's when you need to start worrying.
A detailed list... please excuse me while I chain myself to the chair. I have a sudden urge to go for a walk in to the kitchen.
ok let me think:
1) Papa Johns chicken strips
2) strawberry jam
3) Twix bars
4) Cereal (for dessert after a meal!! ... yah i know, disgusting!)
i am doing a challenge on my website at www.menshealthchallenge2008.info ... getting there and getting ready for my wedding in 12 weeks.
blueberry muffins. I have to freeze them individually so that I can only get at one ![]()
peanut/almond/cashew/any kind of nut butter. it's so high in calories and fat, yet i just can't resist. every time i buy it i just end up eating the whole jar in one sitting. it's frustrating.
._.
i just try to avoid it, i guess, since it's impossible for me to eat in moderation.
1. Pizza
2. Brownies
3. Homemade Cookies
4. Anything with Chocolate and Peanut Butter (especially oreos in peanut butter or reeses)
Most of mine is the sweet tooth cravings, so I usually find one of those 100 calorie packs of brownies or dip the oreo ones in low fat peanut butter)
Pizza is a huge downfall. I love it and so does my family which makes it even harder.
Brownies I only crave that certain time of month lol.
Peanut Butter and Chocolate.
I never realised how fast i could eat through half a jar of peanut butter. A few big butter knife fulls and half a jar is gone.
Also chocolate. I never use to be bad with chocolate but ever since i recovered from my ED i HAVE to have some every day and if i don't, i just eat heaps and heaps ![]()
Mashed Potatos are the worse for me. They are my absolute favorite food ever haha.
I also have a hard time staying away from cookies and cream icecream or Coldstone's thats how I roll icecream.

Peanut Butter and Chocolate.
Me too, especially peanut butter.. ughhhhh.
1. CHEESE CAKE
2. Pasta
3. Pizza
4. Hot Fries and Fiery Hot Cheetos
5. Pretzels, Crackers (Wheat Thins, Ritz)
Bread - why does it have to be so yummy!? ( :
REAL Hot chocolate - it's warm, soothing, and chocolatey. What's more to say?
Oatmeal. I know it's lame, but everytime I overeat it's on that cinnamon roll oatmeal.
What is it about bread?! It used to be prison food, why is it so easy to go nuts on?
Dessert. All sorts.
Cereal, pretzels, m&ms, sweet, carby things in general.
To whoever ate cereal for dessert- I feel your pain. A cup of Reese's puffs beats a cup of light ice cream, if you ask me.
If I'm not careful I develop a huge addiction to peanut butter and extra dark chocolate. In fact, together they're great, mwahaha
I convince my parents to avoid buying them altogether. If they're not in the fridge, they're not being accounted for
FIRST: bread.
my dad likes to buy white bread since the nearest bakery at home doesnt sell any whole grain bread. and i couldnt resist myself not to eat coz i just love bread. sometimes i snap and eat 5-8 slices a day... is that bad??
SECOND: chocolate
though i can only eat chocolates when someone brings it at home, but still, if there is choco available, i cant help but eat.
THIRD: coffee.
simply irresistible!
CHOCOLATE...
(& peanut butter.. & almonds... but I can *usually* control myself with those)
The solution? We have pretty much stopped buying it...
New problem? If I can't have a small square of chocolate every 2 days or so I start overeating on ANYTHING I can get my hands on
I have this terrible problem where I can pretty much binge on anything. haha.
My main ones..
Peanut Butter-I don't think it's physically possible to just have 2 tablespoons. I usually have around 6 or 8 without even realizing it.
Chocolate-in the form of cookies, brownies, candy bar, chocolate chips. ah. I love it. Too bad I gave up sweets for lent! :/
Oatmeal/cereal-I love cereal and oatmeal. I love to mix different cereals and put dry oatmeal on top. soooo sooo good
1. Ore-Ida French Fries with ketchup.
2. Cake/brownies
3. Cereal
