Is it true that...
if I lose about 90lbs, I won't necessarily have smaller breasts ?
A friend of mine said I wouldn't lose them at all, and I tought since they're fat tissues, they would reduce following my weight loss.
Anyone ? : )
I lost 30lbs and went from 36D to 34C. It was a blessing for me as now I can wear much more fashionable clothing. I actually wish they were even a bit smaller!
During major weight loss your breasts will get smaller but by how much is dependent on many things and varies from person to person.
You'll likely lose off them, especially if you're rather top heavy. At 214 I was a 42 DDD. At 167 I'm now a 36 D or DD depending on the bra.
They'll definitely get smaller, but by how much nobody knows.
Keep those extra 90 lbs and you'll keep those big knockers
but a shorter life with gradually deteriorating health are what you can expect - I say, go for the weight loss!!!
I lost 30 lbs and did not lose ANYTHING off my breasts. then I seemed to hit a magic number and in the last 10 lbs or so i have lost a teeny bit..not enough to go down a size but maybe half a size. however I did start with a DD so if I reach my ultimate goal weight with a D then I will be quite happy because thats still pretty big.
My boobs definitely shrink and grow considerably with weight loss and gain, but I think it will really depend on your body and fat distribution. If you lose 90lb, you'll probably get rid of some breast tissue, but you can't really plan on how much or little until you do it.
It might just depend on how big your breasts are now- if there is a lot of fat tissue it might be the first to go. If you have smaller ones, just milk ducts then she might be right. I lost 60 pounds, 205- 145 pounds and I went from a 40DD to a 36B. Mine are so little now! Beware though- there is a lot of damaged tissue that I'm afraid will never look perky again (it's so worth it though!)
There is absolutely no way to tell if your breasts are going to shrink or not. Lots of other people on this site have said it, there is no way to loose/gain weight in only one area. You can have areas where you can gain/loose more but it is an all over body thing. Sorry :(
I'm starting to wean my son from the breast, so I hope they don't shrink too much!
It entirely depends on how you're built genetically... you're not going to lose the muscle and milk-ducts, but the amount of fat will go down substantially. Some people start out with a lot of fat there and others have almost none. One clue is what happens to your breasts when you GAIN weight - if you gain it there, it's fat and it'll disappear again... but if they stay substantially the same size, then they're not going to magically shrink. I started a C cup and I'm still a C cup 70 pounds later, because my breasts were very small and dense for my body size and they just don't have much fat to disappear. They looked ridiculously small for my body size to begin with, and now I'm more in proportion with them!
Mine are GONE. I lost 30 pounds. Before the weight loss I was a nice full B, now I am 32A, and in fact, can wear the bras that they sell for pre-teens at Wal-mart. They were small before I gained weight too, but then they were perfect because I hadn't had children. Now they are pretty yucky looking. But i prefer them to the extra 30 pounds!
I've lost about 53 lbs (267-214) and the only change in my bra has been going from a 48 DDD to a 42 DDD. I hope they get smaller soon, because I'm tired of having to go to plus-sized stores just to find a bra that fits! I can get everything else at normal stores, but not my bras.
I have lost 33lbs gone from 36C to 36B and going smaller, I'm already thinking of breast enhancement surgery LOL.

same here.
considering surgery.
I lost 60 lbs and well...I was a something D and now a 34B...and they're UGLY. T.T!
...this is the thing I'm afraid of...
Your breasts should reduce as you lose body fat but your cup size might not change as you lose weight (everyone's different), so it might look as though your breasts aren't getting smaller. I am still an F cup after losing 60 lbs and dropping a couple of band sizes (40F down to 36F), but my breasts are smaller because my body is still in roughly the same proportions as it was before.
