The TRUTH About Obama and Ayers

As written down by Politifact, one of the few unbiased sources left in the US.

I read through that article yesterday in full. I followed the source links. I am so very thankful there are people dedicated to posting the truth about so many of the issues raised on both sides.

 You would be amazed at how many people dispute that.  There are some who want to cling to their beliefs about Obama so much, that they write anything off that doesn't confirm them.

Sadly, I realize that as well.

People can cling to whatever reasons they want to. That doesn't make them any more correct (or any less small and potentially racist) and it doesn't make the source any less biased.

As someone who gets sick of the talking heads, *I* like Politifact because it IS nonpartisan and unbiased, because it'll call out all the Candidates when they're talking hooey.

 I love that site too.  But I'm amazed at the amount of verifiable information that's available, and then presented to people, and there's still nutcases out there trying to prove, for example, that Obama wasn't born in Hawaii.

I am so happy that you posted this link -- I have printed it out to share the next time this is brought up in discussion (I have several acquaintances who insist Obama is the next Anti-Christ).  I am sick to death of the Republican smear tactics that are being utilized in this campaign because they are too afraid to focus on the real issues.  They should be afraid -- I don't think that they can stand toe to toe with Obama on the real issues. 

I appreciate someone wanting to be the voice of truth and reason in a campaign full of lies and hate speech.  Again, thanks -

I'm a fan of Politifact and also of FactCheck.org.  I like the Politifact truth meter, but FactCheck often has more informative articles.

As Michelle Obama said on Larry King Live, Barack has been running for president for two years.  He's been thoroughly vetted in the press and in the primary.  All of those lies have long since been debunked.

We can't do much about people who are so heavily invested in their opinions that they are unable to change, except pity them.
