Hello all: you can try this big pancake for dinner
10 egg whites, a bit of egg-beaters, 2 scoops of whey-protein, 1/3 teaspoon of salt, vanilla, diet-sugar. Beat all ingredients in your juice-blender for about 30 seconds to 1 minute and then cook it with cooking-spray just like a big pancake at low fire (Total calories= 450 calories, zero carbs)
Reason: Moved from WL to Foods. Please post threads in the most appropriate forum
Ugh, wouldn't this just be like a whey protein omlette? Yuck.
You need to get some flour up in that b*tch! I know, I know, carbs are satan incarnate. I am destined to be fat and ugly.
I prefer to just enjoy regular pancakes...especially with some sort of fruit!
Hey Binge-Eater,
I know how it is to post a recipe and then get people posting something negative about it or how they like something else better.
But I'm here to say....
THANKS for taking the time to write out your recipe! AND
I appreciate you giving it out!
Thanks!!
Doesnt the cooking destroy the whey protein?
"Well, you can live on it, but it tastes like ****".... Crocodile Dundee.
Sorry Binge-eater but this is the kind of joyless pap that gives dieting a bad name. If you served that up in a restaurant I expect it would be sent right back. There's more to 'food' than it just being 'something technically edible'.... it should have flavour, texture, some kind of visual appeal. Food should be a pleasure to eat.
I ate something very similar to this for breakfast this morning, and I thought it was delicious. It was a pleasure to eat...I topped mine off with a drizzle of sugar-free pancake syrup and it was yummy! And I know I gave my body some good fuel at the same time.
Look, I've made protein pancakes and they weren't anything like yours. First of all, where's the cottage cheese or ricotta? Second of all, some carbs are okay - try blending in some oats. Third of all, remember to drink a ton of water to help your body digest the protein.
Also, I've made protein crepes before so I had something to replace a wrap and they were pretty good - it was similar to what you have here, only with a little dairy to thin it out.
I make a pancake similar to this, except it's only about half the size of yours! I think I will make this big one for dinner :) Thanks for sharing!

Imma go with wtf?
Why is this troll still allowed to post?
Maybe I'll eat some cardboard for dinner!

100 g of protein in one meal?! Thanks but no thanks. Anything more than 30 g at once messes with my digestive system something fierce. Why not cut the quantities in half (or even in quarters) and add a nice big salad as a side?

No, because if you don't do everything to the ridiculous extreme, you'll be fat and ugly.
What a bunch of whiners! What's wrong with these people?? It's not like anyone's being forced to try it!!
I'm really happy about this recipe, thanks a lot!! I haven't had pancakes for a long time and had no idea they could be done with protein instead. I'm on GI and eat fats though, so I'll keep the yolks.
I'm going to agree with stefiann and say hey, thanks for being nice enough to take the time to write out this recipe for us. That was very thoughtful of you, and I think it would be very useful for me as I am trying to add more protein to my diet.
And to everyone else: carbs aren't evil, depending on your goals, health issues, and your body type. Some people do better with a higher protein, lower carb diet. Just because it isn't for you, doesn't mean you should be so rude to people who do follow a low carb diet. If this recipe doesn't fit your lifestyle, then just don't eat it, and shut up! There's no reason to insult the OP for making a suggestion.
Sheesh!
Perhaps you guys haven't seen binge-eater's previous threads, where he denounces evil carb eaters as fat, ugly and uneducated - hardly the recipe for making lots of friends on CC. The OP's previous comments have not been 'suggestions' so much as forceful commandments that thou shalt not eat any carbohydrates.
Plus, I think the pancake just sounds horrid. Eggbeaters, whey protein and diet sugar in one pancake? I can make delicious pancakes with real, unprocessed ingredients without resorting to chemicals masquerading as food.
