Trying to lose 10 lbs. forever club
I run, bike and swim now and have been participating in running 5k's and triathlons. I have firmed up but would like to wear a size 8 comfortably. I may want to go on to a size 6 next.
I think that if I had some friends with the same goals, then I would stay motivated. Maybe we can share ideas and recipes.
Let me know if you are out there and interested.

I am still holding steady at goal...*holding breath* and still haven't had time to exercise which I am really starting to hate. I can't wait til the holidays are over, they take up too much of my extra time, what little there was of it to begin with.
Well I have class in an hour and I still need to shower. So I am gonna get going. I just grabbed some breakfast after getting everyone off to work and school.
I am trying to think about some movies for you Ohio, I will have to think on it a little bit more and get back to you. I know I have watched a bunch. The names are escaping me right now.
Oh, here's a few..."Chuck and Larry" with Adam Sandler was pretty funny. "Santa Clause 3" with Tim Allen was funny. "Blades of Glory" is funny with Will Farrell.
Take care! Be strong! Have fun!
Hey Everyone,
Remember me? I'm the one who started this thread in May and then dropped off the face of the cyber earth. Life got really busy and I had some health issue that I've had to get to the bottom of (maybe more on that later) so I couldn't afford the luxury of coming to the site.
Since I posted last I've basically maintained my two dress size loss but since the beginning of December I've been afraid to get on the scale. Do you all mind if I hop in for some encouragement to get me back on the right track? If so, can you give me some suggestions to get back on the wagon?
You all seem to be doing great. I would love a little update on who is here and how you've been doing since I left. I guess I could go back and read some of your posts to find out but if you would like to give me a little overveiw that would be great.
Have a great day!!

Ohio,
Did you move to Florida? That is where I live.
This morning I am going to face the truth and get on the scale. Step one to getting back on the wagon you all are on. Wish me luck!!
By the way, I did train for a 10K and ran it yesterday. I am a little sore. The exciting thing is that we got 25 people from our church to do the race. Most walked the 5K but it was a start. I had TeeShirts made and got sponsors for them and was able to raise money for our youth group. It was an awesome experience.

Tando- Sounds like you are in the same situation weather wise as I am. I am feeling like we are getting buried in...I gotta get out to go to school in the morning and it has been snowing pretty heavy these last few hours. Don' t know what to expect in the morning.
Ohio-you are hanging in really well...keep up the great work! You will be happy you didn't just go hog wild, you could have...it's going to be so much easier to get back on track when you get home.
Well yesterday I went hog wild and ate tons of chocolate...I haven't done that in a long time...boo! I guess I just had one of those days...I felt crappy about it this morning and am trying to resolve it today...and get back on track. I have been craving more today and trying not to give in. And I still have no time to exercise, this blows.
Well that's about it from here in the tundra...only 8 more days til Christmas. Are you ready?
Stay strong! Take care!
How funny is it that Tonia and I both decided to check back in at the same time. Life has been so crazy busy and something had to give. The computer time was the first to go, but I am back. I have kept up with my exercise and have been eating healthy as well. The reason I started counting again was because of the upcoming holidays. I think it is so easy to lose track of what we put in our mouth at this time of year.
It is so great to see everyone still counting and supporting one another. I look forward to posting and reading your posts!

Glad to see Tonia and Di back...this has been a great board for us, you really will see that we have helped each other and it has been a great tool in the weight loss battle.
Me and Tando both met goal, but stay around anyway. I think I would fall off the wagon if not for this site, I am afraid to leave.
Well, I have been super busy getting ready for the holidays, I am ready for them to be here already. All this getting ready for them is wearing me out...
Well that's it for now. I am excited for Christmas break from school. But I think I am catching another stupid cold. Ugh!
Take care!
Happy B-day Ohio!!! I hope you had a great day. Excellent job with your progress on health and wellness.
CC and Tando: Woohoo! Congratulations on meeting your goals. You both should be very proud.
Today was very hectic. My students are just about crazy with holiday spirit and my family is running in all directions. I stayed within my calories and did a one hour Pilates class at my gym. I am still a little hungry so I hope a cup of sugar free cocoa does the trick. Of my last 10 pounds I currently still have 6 to go. So this is my new starting point, with 6 stubborn pounds to go. Well, time to do more chores and correct quizzes. Have a great night!

This is the last full day of school and the kids are just off the wall. I teach high school and my mom teaches 4 year olds and we had the same things to say about our students. Other than the students going crazy, everything is good. I had a good workout last night and I hope to find time tonight as well. I love BodyStep and BodyAttack, but tonight I might do a Pilates class. My eating plan is going well, but it is my time of the month so I am avoiding the scale for now. I need to go. I just saw one of my students in the hall (this is my lunch) with red marker on his nose. I thinking to look like Rudolph.
