Trying to lose 15lbs but keep giving in to temptation
HI everone, I'm new to this site and I need some motivation! I want to lose 15lbs and it's pretty tough to get started. About 6 months ago I lost 20lbs, and ever since my diet has gone back to normal...drinking lots of soda and eating fast food on the go. Luckily I only gained about 5lbs back. Keeping a food diary and planning what to eat helps keep me in line. I just enjoy soda and junk food so much, fruits and veggies aren't as satisfying! Any tips?!

For different reasons, I had motivation problems when I started too. The problem was, I couldn't just manifest motivation out of nothing. I just had to do the work regardless of my motivation.
The motivation will come with just a little success. Some times you just have to suck it up.
You can do it!

Of course fruits and veggies aren't very satisfying. If I ate nothing but fruits and veggies, I'd be hungry all the time! You have to mix it up a little. And you have to find healthier alternatives to the junk, or you will never make consistant progress. Craving french fries? Instead of heading to the nearest drive through, buy some frozen ones and bake them in the oven. Want a burger? Make it yourself at home, with super lean beef, or lean ground turkey. Put it on some whole wheat bread, top with lettuce, onions, tomato, ketchup, anything that isn't fatty. There is a middle ground between eating like a rabbit and going out for bacon cheeseburgers and french fries. Decide what you want. Do you want fast food, or do you want to lose weight?
I'm on my last 15 as well, I'm not exactly sure what's going on, but my body sure seems to like being 150. I'm not starving myself accidently, and I try to zig zag calories.
I think because I'm technically at a "normal" weight, my body is having a hard time letting go, the first 7 lbs FLEW off like a bat outa hell.
It's possible I'm sabotaging myself, I have a day of the week where I tend to eat maintenance lvl calories... but I don't understand why that one day would cause me to gain back a lb I lost (from 149 to 150) since I have a 400-500 calorie deficit every day otherwise. So I thought maybe I'm gaining muscle from my workouts, which is fine... *sigh*
I'm not cheating and I'm counting every thing I eat, soooo I dunno.
It's hard for me not to say, screw it, I'll just stay at this weight and eat maintenance. I could be veryvery happy on 1800 calories a day XD oh my the things I could eat!

Wow thanks everyone! What good advice! I never thought of substituting 'Better' junk food making it myself instead of going to the nearest drive through. I'm planning on being strict with my diet because after a week or two, I'm over the greasy stuff. I will remember that if I do have an urge.
Nocturne, you could have reached your weight loss plateau. Your metabolism may have adjusted itself with the amount of calories you eat. You can jump start your metabolism by working out early in the morning (unless you do already) and try drinking green tea in the morning too. I'm pretty sure that you can't gain a whole pound in one day unless it's water weight. 3500 calories equals one pound of fat. You would have to eat an excess of 3500 cal in a day go gain a pound of fat! Also you will burn fat and calories faster from gaining muscle from your workouts, and luckily, muscle takes up less space than fat!

I'm starting to get the idea that plateaus are the norm. I think you just have to hang in there or mix it up a bit more. It'll eventually change. Just remember your health as opposed to just the weight:)
