Trying to lose weight before club season begins

Good afternoon everyone... I have been a member for a couple of years but did not use the Groups.  I think they may be helpful to me now.  I am 51 years old and had never had a weight problem until about 8 years ago when the weight just started to come on and without really paying much attention I realize I have gained 40 pounds.  Both of my daughters have played club volleyball (now I am only down to one daughter playing) and I guess it was last year when I really stopped to notice that we are gone 3 weekends a month for 6 months and eating out almost every meal.  I have started thinking about the club season coming this year and I want to learn to pack our own healthy food which has to be cheaper than burgers and fries and lots of pasta.  I am looking for ideas for meals that can be packed in a cooler and heated at the hotel in the microwave and so forth.  If anyone has any creative ideas that would be great!
