Your BMR is unlikely to be 1400.  That would be the level for someone either extremely small or bedridden.   Most adult females can typically maintain on 1900-2100 if they exercise.  Try to increase your intake to 1800-1900 and see what happens.  Chances are that it will boost your metabolism and you lose the last few lbs.  And then you'd be maintaining on a much more natural amount.

according to: http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/  its 1383 b/c I am 5'2" and 135 today - female - 32 yrs old

So since I am excercising also... I should up the cals intake for this maintenance/loss to be able to happen.....

Will do that...

Thanks!

I calculate that with a light level of activity... something gentle for half an hour a day... you could maintain on 1900.  If you were doing something more energetic than walking, for longer than half an hour or more than 3 times a week then you'd need 2200 a day

If you're still trying to lose weight then 1400-1500 sounds about right but if you've been dieting for several weeks at that level you may have slowed your metabolism.   The body adjusts to less food over time and learns to maintain on less.

To kick it back into action have a day this weekend where you deliberately consume 2000 cals.  You can stay with your normal healthy foods or you can indulge in an easter egg, it wouldn't really matter.  The next day you will know if it has 'worked' because you'll feel a lot hungrier than normal.

So to summarise... one day at 2000 cals if you want to lose weight further.  If you're happy to maintain, gradually increase your intake to 1900-2000 a day from now... 100 extra a day each week for a few weeks.
MariYumm, I am your same height, but older by 5/6 years.  I lose weight if I can keep my calories to 2300 p/day.  I walk my dog for an hour 5x p/week.  So, I agree with the above, you could increase cals. and see what happens.
