ok so i am 5'3 USUALLY 125 (used to be 153 when i started) and i was recently in a plateau. i upped my cals like EVERYONE here said, and i gained 10 pounds, yeah must not be water weight like you all said cuz it NEVER went away. soooo ive tried keeping my cals higher to boost up the metabolism..still at my loss amount of 1200-1400. but tonight. i did BAD
BADDDD i ate a healthy breakfast(egg beaters and light wheat toast)
then lunch at the college(salad, some fries, and a waffle)
later-Small Coffee Coolata with skim milk instead of cream.. soo less cals there.
then dinner(what i THOUGHT would be dinner)-easy mac(at my bfs)
then i fell asleep and woke up and his family brought us quiznos..me a 6 in primerib and cheese sub, and some pringles. YEAH SOO i eat it to be nice and considerate that they randomly did this... and i prolly had like a whopping 2000 calories today. whne To just MAINTAIN i'd be at 1800. and i went ALOTTT over.
So heeres MYYYY new method since nothing else is working
Eat Less more often like i did,.. but EVEN less
im going to eat like an apple for each meal or a plate of veggies.
NOOOOOOOO CARBS since thats all i ate all day today.!!!!

im going to do this, some whast til i lose weight- its ridiculous HOW HARD i worked to lose 30 poounds and finally did it.. now im gaining it back because i up my cals a little??? its raelly frustrating, yes i prolly have a problem with how much i worry but i cant take this anymore. im not comfortable in my own body anymore, and my clothes dont fit right, i need to lose the weight.
anyy help or info or advice would be greatly appricated cuz im on the verge of taking diet pills cuz im getting soo frustrated!!
Take diet pills if you want, they won't do anything though. Starve yourself by eating an apple for every meal, you'll lose weight but it will be muscle not fat and mess up your body.
or you can try the zig zag method (google zig zag diet), it's supposed to be an effective way to get out of a plateau - and also allow you to fit in eating a quizno's sub.
are you exercising?
It sounds like your only mistake was trying to 'be nice' and eating the sub.
A lot of people fall into this trap, myself included. But you have to learn how to say no. Or not even no-- thank them profusely, look delighted, and then tell them you are going to save it for later.
And you can either eat it later (when you have the calories) or not.
well i couldnt because they spent 26dollars on my and my boyfriends subs. and i wasdnt going to be a bitch. i didnt eat all of it.. i ate like not evennn 3/4 of it.
but i need to lose it, i have tried all the adivce given about plataus and its not working im just gaining. so im trying this for now then going back to dieting normal, cuz i did it before and did great and didnt gain anything backk until now. when im trying to get off a plateau

What exactly were you eating when you upped your calories? You know the best way to overcome a plateau is to up your calories by adding more protein.
Now about the rest you said in your first message. Eating just an apple or vegetables for each meal will make you starve and thus lead you to overeating or bingeing. Also with this kind of eating you will just lose water, no fat. The same happens with no carbs at all. And think about this...are you able to stay away from carbs for all your life? If not, then the weight will come back double ounce your start eating carbs again.
Diet pills...they do absolutely nothing. They can only cause very serious health problems. There are some people who lost weight taking them, but it wasn't the pill that caused their weight loss, but their state of mind.
As vicereine said, the best way is the zig-zag method. Just make sure that the extra calories come from healthy foods and not junk. Extra protein can help but it is CRUCIAL that you eat your carbs too. Also try to workout more.

soo today i had an apple and sugar free pudding for breakfast..apple for snack..green chopped up peppers for lunch and 3 chicken fingers,no oil or greese with sweet and sour.
sooo im eating LIGHTER than i was, maybe ill have carbs for dinner(like cereal or something) cuz i go to work at best buy 5-9 qnd work it all off..?
i just want to LESSEN my intake of carbs, and eat better

i did. i used to 4 times a week. for an hour..burning about 400-500 cals.. but i go to school, and work now almost EVERY day and im too exhausted to go after wards. sooo i do 100+ crunches everyday at home and im rarely sitting.
have you tried exercising in the morning... before school? IMO 125 and 5'3" is pretty darn good. I'm right around the same and I just worry about toning now.

Make time for exersize, wake up early and get it out of the way. It's really the only healthy way to get rid of the last pounds.
or you can keep starving with your apples.

idk i just APPEAR bigger some of my pants dont even fit the way they used to so i GOTTA LOSE these inches. i cant exercise like ever i wake up EARLY shower go to school..then go to work come home and sleep.
tomrrow i have no work. so im gonna go to the gym.. will these help? i hav to work fri and sat too but not sure when after that. but i really need to lose the weight.. if i eat light again tomorrow after eating a ton today will thast help at all??
