Trying to get pregnant-how much working out is too much

Quote  |  Reply

I've read on plenty of forums that women who work out strenuously for a long period of time (i.e. running) can have problems conceiving.  Anybody know how much is too much?  Every time I go for a run, or lift weights (I lift pretty heavily) I fear that I might be ruining my chances!  Any ideas?

Thanks!

hi, i have exercised for many years, running for 8 miles a day etc... while i was pregnant and trying to conceive i continued to exercised but instead of running i walked with an incline. listen to your body but i have heard of mariton runners getting pregnant. talk to you doctor...i am sure you are fine as long as your body fat % is not to low:)

Good Luck. I am trying to conceive too.

Amy:)
