Trying to stay healthy

Quote  |  Reply

In this picture, im the brunette on the right. Ive struggled for a really long time with my weight, from being up and down the past few years. It started with exercising too much, and my weight dropped so fast that I became obsessed. Im much healthier i think now than i have been in a long time, but I was wondering what weight I should pursue exactly, and what weight people think I look and if I look healthy enough? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

No body else can know what weight is right for your body type.

Most people have a weight range, not a single number, that they function best at.

The only way to find this ideal weight range out, is to try to eat as much un processed natural foods as possible, and to do regular exercise, and see what your body dictates.

Basically, if you are active most days, strength train twice a week, and eat well most of the time and try to eat when your hungry/stop when you are satisfied, then your body will be the best it possible can.

So you will attain your best body through eating well, regular exercise, strength training at least twice a week, and listening to your body and feeding it when and how much it needs.

No one on here can do all that for you - you need to commit to this life style change yourself. You will then discover your optimal weight.

If you do all this, your skin and hair and outward appearance will also look its best, and you will function better and therefore think clearer and every aspect of your life will improve too!

And by the way - you look great in your picture! You look fit and slim and healthy and you do not need to lose weight - in fact, losing much could look too thin on you!

I would focus on toning your muscles, I cannot see how toned you are because your clothes cover you up. However, strength training twice a week as I mentioned above will ensure that you decrease fat/increase muscle/and shape your body in a way that will make your SIZE of your body shrink, without necessarily losing weight. Muscle is more dense than fat, so if you gain more muscle and lose more fat, than your size will decrease but your weight will stay the same because muscle weighs more then fat. Some people even gain a little if they increase their muscle enough but they LOOK smaller and fit into smaller clothes.

i think you look fine as you are, i would just try to mantaine.

I think you are stunning just the way you are.

What's your BMI?  If it's in the normal range, then why tinker with your weight at all?  You can concentrate on good nutrition and physical fitness to be strong and healthy.  You look really good, by the way.

To me you look perfectly beautiful! I agree with just maintaining.. I personally don't think and weight loss is necessary...Smile

honestly, you are hott!! like H-O-T-T!! I wouldn't mess with my body at all, granted you're wearing clothes...but i wouldn't mind looking like you...in fact, i'd embrace it, flaunt it, and be darn proud of it!!

See, every one thinks you look great!

If you did lose a lb, then it should only be the by product of improved eating or fitness; based on your picture, I would actually recommend that you be more careful and focused on NOT losing too much weight, opposed to actually trying to lose it.
