I work for a financial institution and today is technically a holiday. however, there are a few of us that decided to take the floating holiday option and are working. I sshould have stayed home....the few that did come to work today brought snacks, and lots of them. The kitchen is filled with junk. in addition, the VP of my department is buying lunch at a local hamburger place that is one of my favoirte guilty pleasures. I turned it down, as well as stayed away from the snacks so far...but it's so hard!!!!!!!! trying to keep my eye on the prize....remembering that i lost a pound so far this week and the fact that i actually fit into my jeans that we are allowed to wear today, that didn't fit so well a couple of weeks ago.
You can make it through the day! :)

thanks all!! this has helped. so far so good....haven't caved!!
Fingers crossed you made the whole day! I hope you walked past lots of windows and the reflection reminded you of fitting into the jeans!

It's possible to talk yourself out of things, too. The whole "A moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips" thing? Yea. Totally true.
Stay strong, my friend!! There will be other (pool!)parties, holidays and delightful delectables in your future. Work before play.
so...i made it through the entire work day yesterday! thank you all for the support and suggestions. i am so proud of myself. i thought i kind of blew it when i got home though. it was our weekly pizza night and i grabbed one more piece than i thought i should have, but i had it anyway. so i did some sit-ups and push-ups before i went to bed. hopefully today will be another good day!
What can I do to keep my mind off food?
If you are well fed and engaged in what you are doing, then you should not be thinking about food all of the time. Preoccupation with... Read more
