Trying to work this burn meter

Quote  |  Reply

So I have it set to the lowest setting, So on my laziest of days it is correct.  But does this mean I should add just about everything I do?  Driving? Washing dishes? Standing for 6 hrs at work?  Or should I just keep with adding things that are more active?  I really just want to make sure I'm losing the right way.   Thanks for any input!

there are 2 options, you can put it on the lowest activity level and add your activities manually or you can just choose the appropriate level and not add the calories burned manually.

So, if you put sedentary then all those activities would need to be accounted for, but if you put moderately active then those things would be taken into account.

does that make sense?

It makes perfect sense.  Thank you very much, I just wanted to make sure putting it on sedentary didn't include things like laundry and 20 of washing dishes while cooking dinner!  Lol.  Thanks agian!

OK, let me make sure I'm understanding this correctly. I just started working out regularly (30 min a day of high impact aerobics), plus I'm trying to get up from my desk and walk more during the day. So I put my account at the light activity setting.

Does this mean I don't need to record the 30 min of high impact aerobics I did that day, or the 15 min brisk walk I took during my break?

Would it makes much difference if I instead said sedentary then added those in manually?
