From your post, it sounds like you have many of the elements of healthy eating and exercise in place and you just need motivation. It sounds like you know what you need to do to lose weight, but only you can find what will motivate you to start losing. I just wanted to respond to your post because I started using CC last July but didn't start losing weight until October, I was tracking my calories and noticing that I was eating back everything I burned but for a while I just wanted to eat rather than do a deficit. Then on my birthday I finally got motivated to start losing. For me a birthday is a great motivator and I like to make positive changes then. Anyway it sounds like you are being very hard on yourself, and don't underestimate the benefits of just eating healthy and exercising, you are still improving your health by exercising even if you aren't losing weight right now.
I plugged in your stats and got a sedentary burn of 1600 and a bmi of 25.1, which is just above the healthy range, so you don't have to lose much to get into a normal weight range (that's great news!)
Maybe your body is too adjusted to your workouts and you need to try something new once or twice a week. I would not give up entirely what you already do, b/c it has so many other health benefits. But some strength training or HIIT (high intensity interval training) might work wonders. AND with strength training, you can increase your muscle mass and burn more cals all day long.
Since you aren't overweight by more than a few pounds, you might want to think about aiming for a small deficit, 300-500 day by eating about 1500 cals and using exercise to give you that small deficit. Definitely look into what is interfering with your ability to limit your intake, too; maybe it is your shopping habits or a lack of planning (my personal pitfall) so that you let yourself get too hungry or you try to deny too much.
Slow and steady, while trying some new workouts, will probably work better for you in the long run and you will look and feel better quickly, too, esp. since you are not really in serious need of weight loss. You'll get stronger, trimmer, and lose some lbs (eventually; get the good habits all in order first) and maybe then you can be happier with your figure. Good luck.
What type of food should not be eaten?
Calorie Count does not prescribe a particular diet or tell people to avoid particular foods. We only ask that you eat a balanced diet... Read more
