Tummy blues

Feeling very depressed and discouraged. Will I Ever have a small belly? I hit 121 pounds recently and due to my stomach, I can barely fit into size 9 jeans with a major muffin top. I hate being "apple shaped". Some people have a smaller waist than I do when they are 170 pounds. My waist measurement is currently 32 inches. And that's the measurement an inch above the belly button. I'm so tired of feeling uncomfortable in any fitted pants--the only thing I'm comfortable in is yoga pants or stretchy pants of some sort. I am only 5'2" but it's just discouraging. I just want to be able to sit down in jeans and feel comfy. :( I love jeans(or used to)

I have an old high school friend who felt the same way. She was pear shaped, and wore a 7 or 9 depending on the jeans. She was VERY skinny, actually too skinny, but didn't feel it. She had low self esteem about her weight. I tried and tried and tried to get her to love herself and her body. But it never worked. I'm the 'some people' you mentioned: I'm 156lbs, 5'7" and in a size 6, and sometimes a 6 is too big. You just have to look at the positives of your body instead of the negative. Don't worry about your jeans, keep at the weight loss, and things will start to fall into place.

Thanks for your reply, I was just having a down moment I guess. I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing and believe that I'll make my goals. I guess doing weight loss the healthy way, you need to have a lot of patience. I am proud of myself for how far I've come but I guess I've been waiting to hit 120 for 2 years and I thought that it would translate into size 6 and it didn't. A bit of a disappointment but I'll pick up and move forward.

Hmm I'm confused on jean sizes! I'm 5'7", 123 pounds, and wear a size 7...would that mean I have big hips?
