Tummy problem!

Quote  |  Reply
I have been monitoring my diet, been working out, overall my body seems to be getting toned up except for my tummy area, if not for that I would have been perfectly happy with my weight/appearance. No matter how hard I work out number of crunches I do weight just never budges off from that area, any suggestion!

Are you doing any extended aerobics or pilates?
ooh, I've got that same problem. I walk/run everyday, circuit training at least 3 times a week, besides all my regular activities.  I've lost inches everywhere but the widest part of my tummy just above the hips. I found this link yesterday on webMD, so I'm going to start adding these exercises into my program.

Another thing is to keep your abdominal muscles engaged. Pull them in tight like you're trying to hug your spine with them. Drive to work that way, or sit in your office or at the computer. Practice that all day long
Thanks for the link, I do some of these exercises and being a vegetarian I do end up eating lots of whole grains veggies and fruits. Even I read somewhere abt keep your muscles in tummy tight and making it a habit overtime.

It sure is an uphill battle hopefully results will start showing up sometime eventually
I also have that problem...i had mentioned friday in my journal. I think my problem is that i have extra skin on my mid-section makin git look thicker. :-(
your body gets used to exersises that you do offten. crunches stoped working for me a long time ago. what i found realy helped (it still took a while for results to start to appear) was belly dancing and consintrating very hard on getting the moves down the right way keeping everything tight. the dancing turns in to extra cardio (apart from my regular workout) and the issolation that it demands it a good way to work the mussles in ways other than a clasic crunch.

also rember the waght comes off on the revers order than you put it on. going on is usaly stomic thighs butt arms chest neck and face. and so it will come off first on the face neck chest arms butt thighs and lastly stomic. sux dosent it.

anyway good luck
