Hi all!

What is your suggestion on how to eat tuna from a can? I really don't like tuna at all, but it's the only fish I will eat at all. I usually just mix it w low fat mayo, pickle juice, etc to make a tuna spread, but I would like to find a way to use tuna without all the extra stuff if possible. Any ideas?

I actually dont really care for tuna either however, I like it several ways...with hot sauce and slice of onion & tomato, tuna melt on wheat, or in a tuna noodle casserole

I have actually found a new way and I thought I would share it

-tuna with hot sauce put it on top of a large mushroom cap (which was mainated in Teryiaki sauce), put german cabbage on top of the tuna, then sprinkle on top of it your favorite cheese (I used gouta).  Stick it in the broiler till melted.  Then either put between two pieces of toasted bread and add onion, tomato with horsey sauce.  If you want to cut a little just put it on one piece of toast.  It was great!

if you really don't like tuna that much, then why do you force yourself to choke it down?

I know it's a good source of protein and all, but there are tons of other good sources of protein besides tuna... have you tried canned chicken? turkey? salmon? sardines?

How do you know that you don't like all fish? There's so many different types and textures out there, I'm sure you'd like at least one of them... salmon is fantastic, white fish like cod, pollock, or tilapia are very light and mild (no fishy taste), tuna steaks seared for a few seconds on both sides are to die for!! (and taste totally different then canned tuna)

how about shimp? scallops? lobster? crab? etc... most seafood is very high in protein, easily digested, and available year round.. and there is so much to choose from and so many ways to make it

...

personally I like my canned tuna drowned in REAL tomato sauce and some spices, then heated up and poured over a mound of Shirataki Noodles!! Tuna Spaghetti :)

or I mix tuna with plain yogurt and spread over nori sheets with some cucumber and avacado slices, and then rolled up and cut into "Sushi" peices... basically it's sushi without the nasty empty carb rice... and it comes to only ~150cal, great snack!!

I know it's totally unrelated to OP, but this is a great idea!  I make an "asian" salad that I canned tuna to and cut nori strips on top for a "sushi" taste... never thought of making something like this!  I'll have to give this a try.
