I have them and I might use them over the weekend for target practice. I still don't know why I spent the money. That woman is the single most annoying person on earth.

I'm sure the work out is decent for a cardio session, but I'd rather run. I seriously still don't know why i spent the money. They send me about 500 billion spam emails a day as well.
You're pretty harsh spirochete! :)  But yes she is annoying - but most workout videos are after a while cause you hear the same thing over and over.

I used Turbo Jam for a while and it was a good form of exercise for me to do at home.  But I got bored with it so now I do other things.  I really liked that it has both cardio (which IS good for a cardio session, especially if you're not in top cardiovascular health) and Turbo Sculpt, which is a pretty good total-body workout with weights.

I'll admit though, I didn't purchase it myself, I borrowed it.  Would I have spent money on it?  Probably not.
The weight part is worthless (I know, harsh). I understand  you have to start somewhere, but flinging around 3-5lb weights to music is NOT weight training. I'm not sure what it is, most likely cardio.
I actually have it and I LOVE it.
I think that it's a very entertaining workout and there are so many different ones to choose from. You can do a 20 min workout or 45 minute workout depending on your schedule. (and a few in between).

There are multiple threads of Turbo Jam enthusiasts. I will find some and link to them.
I agree that when you order through beachbody.com they are VERY into upselling, and it's annoying, but you can also get them from eBay and it's cheaper :)

Thank you guys I will kep everything in mind. I need to start somewhere....maybe I will borrow it from somewhere first.
I did Turbo Jam for about a month... I didn't get results probably because I wasn't cutting my calories enough. It's a fun workout though - not too strenuous. Despite what they claim, it's not good for abs. Turbo Sculpt is good for toning while still getting a moderate workout.

If you have a dvd burner, you can download it off the net and just burn it onto a dvd. You'll have to deal with the intense guilt of "stealing" from beach body though. :P
I've been doing the Turbo Jam program for about 3 weeks now.  It's quite a workout and if you're not into upbeat people, it can be annoying.

I like Chalene and the music is a great motivator.  I just ordered her Turbo Jam Exercise ball program and may incorporate it into my workout.

It's like any other workout program or equipment - you have to make a commitment to use it.  I get up between 3:45 and 4am to do my exercise.  Running doesn't do anything for me mentally and my knees don't like it.  Walking is great, but not when it's 100+ outside.

You have to decide what kind of exercise you enjoy/want to do and give it time to work.

I have a Bowflex that is currently making a great clothes hanger in my bedroom right now.   It's outta here this weekend.

Check with your local library and see if they have the program DVD's.
I would go with Power 90 instead, it's a much better workout...especially with weight training.

turbo jam is great imo. i mean when u do it all the time it gets boringg but if u do it once in a while its great.. turbo jam helped me lose weight last year=) like 10lbs in 2-3 months.. and that was before i even started counting calories.. i ate normally but what i added to my daily routine was one 40 min. turbo jam workout per day=)
I too LOVE Turbo Jam - and I've done everything from Weight Lifting to Body for Life etc.  It is a repetitive cardio aerobic workout but it uses your whole body in all the moves to get a full body workout.

I also purchased all the sets (I just got the new Ball one on ebay) so I have 8 different workouts to choose from whether it's hardcore cardio (that makes me sweat like crazy) or a quick 20 minute one for the morning to get my metabolism going.  The Turbo Scuplt is amazing for toning and although similar to doing free weights.. it's faster and more fun with the music - and an hour flies by quick!

THEN again, I dont' find Chalene annoying at all.. but extremely motiviating.  When I first started, without the eating, I lost 10lbs last year in 2 months... but I'm a quitter.

I am using Turbo Jam, as long as many others I have met, that have great success in the workout as it's a total body workout.  You can up it a bit with some outdoor activities.. but I try and do Turbo Jam 5 times per week whether it's cardio or sculpting and so far I'm not bored...

GOOD LUCK!  I'm here to be your TJ partner if needed :)  I love them!
Sounds Great
I just did Turbo Jam for the first time in a few months, and I must say I forgot how good a workout it is! I'm definitely going to do it on days when I don't have time to trek to the gym.
I tried it, and have liked it, but it seems I burn more calories with my urban rebounding. Chalene is just a bit annoying. :-)

Personally i love turbo jam. I use it about 3 times a week, in addition to Hip hop abs, and strength training. I have definitely seen results! Mose muscle definition and i am getting some abs! The workouts are upbeat and you work up a great sweat! I dont think Chalene is annoying at all!
Theres some gold in the house.  Do it till you drop!  I LOVE TURBO!  It is fun, the music is great, the moves blend and Chalene is a great instructor.  Being older, a one time aerobic teacher myself, and doing most all tapes out there it is a refreshing change.  It keeps you motivated and before you know it its over.  I was done with workouts via DVD until I found this one on infomercial.  It has toned me up.  I am sure it isn't for everyone but I got the jam in me.

I dont have the video, but I take classes at my fitness center and its great.  she changes the routine on us every 6 weeks.  So we get the basic punch, jabs, knee but different choreography and everytime I come out of the class sweatin and happy i attended the class.

I like turbo kick because the moves and speed of the hits and kicks are more realistic to do so that you don't strain your joints.

Maybe you want to check out local fitness center to see if they offer any classes for you to try out :)
Did my Turbo Jam last night - Cardio Party

Going to do Turbo Scuplt tonight - anyone else up for reporting!!!
OK...I'll put my two cents in. Turbo Jam has helped me with shedding the lbs, and losing inches. I know I sound like informercial, but I really can thank, Turbo Jam for getting me into exercise.
I now use it with the gloves, and it's helped alot! I tend to get bored with things so I do a combination of things for exercise, along with Turbo Jam, I also do brisk walking, jogging, and have started to run lately. I also do strength training too.
I have Turbo Jam and it is definitely my favorite workout!  I've had Slim in 6, Power 90, Hip Hop Abs, and Turbo Jam, and now pretty much the only thing I use is Turbo Jam! It is seriously awesome.  After I did Slim in 6 and Power 90 I hit a plateau and was SOOOOOOOOOO frustrated.  So then I got Turbo Jam, and that boosted me up and helped me lose 15 more pounds in like, not long at all.  SO GET IT!!

Also, I think Chalene (the trainer) is awesome, I'd rather have a fun trainer than a boring one!
Can you buy this at Target or WalMart?
