I went out yesterday and bought some frozen turkey burger patties. I wasn't thrilled with the taste. Sort of bland. Does anyone have any ideas of how I can make them taste better? I looked around on the site and found recipes for making your own turkey burgers (which I will try once these frozen patties are gone) but does anyone have any ideas for making these frozen patties more edible?

seasonings, cheese, ketchup, mustard, relish, spaghetti sauce.
why don't you put a rub or something on them? I know a lot of people who put things like seasoned salt or the like on before they grill. Perhaps you can even soak them in some sort of marinade before grilling them?
The spaghetti sauce idea sounds good...or maybe some tomato sauce and low fat cheese, etc to make a sort of pizza burger. Might even be able to get the kiddos to eat it!
Chop it up into strips and sit on top of a stirfry of veggies and beansprouts.
Or cook into a pasta dish with loads of basil.

adding spices like pepper, garlic/onion powder, chili powder, etc. is a good start.
I LOVE turkey burgers.....even more than beef now! And cheeseburgers are one of my very favorite foods! I like the preformed Jennie-o patties, preformed Perdue patties and also the plain ground turkey meat to make my own burger..which I also use to make turkey tacos! I make them like a regular burger, with a bit of seasoning salt and Wostershire. Throw it on a 100 calorie English Muffin with lettuce, 2% american, pickle slices, light mayo, ketchup...the works! I had them last night for dinner!
When we first began eating turkey burgers I sprinkled them with soy sauce before grilling, then brushed with bbq sauce. Served with a slice of low fat cheese and onions on top. Even my teenage son loved them.
Wlmch..just had to tell you I tried this and it was sooo incredibly good! Making them for my husband tomorrow. He is really picky about anything healthy and I think he will love them.
why don't you try making your own, with lean groud turkey and whatever spices strike your fancy?
I buy lean ground turkey breast and I add canned, sliced mushrooms to the meat and I form them into patties. I usually freeze them so I have them ready to go when ever I want them. The mushrooms add flavor and keep them moist. I think I will add onions next time as well.
Turkey burgers are also good with garlic, sauteed onions, and a bit of teriyaki sauce (not much because of course it's loaded with sodium). I ate them like that the first time I made them and they were delicious. now that's pretty much all I cook with when I make dishes that require ground beef...and I eat turkey bacon.
I put salsa in my burgers: truely amazing!!! :)
