turkey v.s. hamburger

I recently tried lean turkey burger instead of hambuger in a recipe.  I like the way it tasted and how it had less grease when I was cooking it.  I was discouraged when I looked it up on CC and found that the grade was a D.  Is the lean burger really better for me than lean turkey?

depends.  If you read the label you will know for sure.  There are different lean to fat rations for turkey just as there is for beef.  If you get the higher fat turkey it isn't any better than beef, but if you get the lower fat turkey it is better.  I don't buy the pre-made burgers, I just buy the 97/3 ground turkey and make my own patties.  I don't even season them except for maybe salt & pepper.  Some people do all sorts of things to flavor up the turkey, but I am fine with it plain and simple.  SO in short it depends on what type of turkey and what has been added to it that will determine how much better or worse it is for you than beef.  Hope this helped.
