There is no turning back- What have you done?
So I've packed up all my old bigger clothes and have donated them to the Canadian Diabetes Assosiation.
There is no turning back. I don't want to fit into those clothes again.
oh yeah, i purged all my size 10s and 12s before the last move (hospice society thrift store). except for one pair of shorts that still stay up if i wear a belt. they're really comfy.
oh - and some of my winter clothes were already boxed, so they're still with me. there's a consignment store a few blocks away that will be accepting fall and winter stuff in september, so all my L woolie sweaters will go there.
but, honestly, the scale is my best never-again tool. i still weigh every day, and if i touch on 134 i make the necessary adjustments (for what it's worth: i've only been below 135 for six weeks, and i cheated to get here).

nothing quite so fun: major surgery + complications. dropped 14 pounds in 3 weeks. i've gained about 4 of those back, but i'm recovered now, so it's all good ![]()
And jinxozzie, congrats on hitting this milestone! Well done! Now you will have tons of room in your closet for new(smaller) stuff!
I've dropped from a large to a small (UK sizes) for men. I also purged my wardrobe, gave away a lot of clothes to charity. Like you, I don't want to go back there. I have some medium sizes that I still have and recently I had to use some of them again as I put a few pounds back on but even these I want to get rid of.
Its a great boost for the ego when you finally fit into stuff that is your actual size. When you can shop for stuff that fits you right and looks good on you. The only drawback is that it is expensive to replace your entire wardrobe. But I have no regrets.
I think my wife enjoyed the shopping more then me though :P
I've been winnowing my wardrobe as I go. My very nice, originally expensive, size 22 - 20s went to a consignment shop and I used the money to buy smaller clothes there. I'm in a 14-16 now and only buy inexpensive clothes for the time being. They will all to go Goodwill because there is a drop off store across the street. My closet is half empty, but I feel wonderful. I'm even in a narrower size shoe! I got the cutest Easy Spirit slides that I could never have worn at my fattest.
I'm still rewarding my self with $5 a pound and that's going to be my big shopping trip when I'm back to a size 10, as I was 20 years ago. Although I think that size 10 is now a size 8 in the new sizing. I wish the clothing industry would make up it's collective mind.
I, too, have done the same. I turned in all my still stylish clothes to a thrift store (nothing like getting money for your weightloss! Or thats how I see it.) and I donated the rest. I can't wait til I can buy new clothes.
my younger cousin has a new full closet of my old clothes. And 8 more pounds, it will be double. Since im a shopaholic and love deseigner clothing. She is the most stylish girl in school ;)
AMEN TO NO TURNING BACK!
I'm a shortie, so I didn't really have anyone to give my clothes to and no consignment to get a little cash back from either. Also feels good to give to a good charity.
On the go andin the know.
