TV Food and Health Personalities that you love/hate?

Who do you love, who do you hate? For me -

On chefs, I love Gordon Ramsey and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall. Ramsey, yes, sometimes he is over the top and swears to excess, but overall he's an awesome personality, presence and cook. Hugh Feanrly-Whittingstall: I admire his sense of ethics, and he's hilariously eccentric. (See: Hugh Fearlessly Eatsitall). Hate... Gary Rhodes ticks me off. Bloody obnoxious hedgehog.

I don't really have any health personalities I like, but I HATE Gillian McKeith. She's got her basics right - don't eat too little, don't eat too much, avoid junk foods and heavily proccessed stuff and aim to eat as fresh as you can - but the way she delivers her message and the nonsense that dwarfs her common sense... well. It's just that. The stuff she gets right is common bloody sense. And anyone that obsessed with poo is just wierd.

I'm trying to think of American food and health celebrities right now I love/hate, but I'm a bit more stuck there! But what about you? Who gets your goat and who floats your boat? o:

I love Gordon Ramsey.

I hate Paula Deen.

I love Gordon Ramsay and Alton Brown (except that Alton Brown really needs to work on the ummm...uhhh...ummm thing!).  I just love how Alton talks about the science behind cooking. 

I can't stand Giada De Laurentiis.  No chef should be that skinny.  Her head looks like an orange on a toothpick. 

Can't stand any of the food people.  Rachel Ray, Paula Deen, Gordon Ramsay...

Blech.

Now, Mark Fenton, who I guess isn't a big TV personality, but you see him from time to time, is a nice guy.

i love cooking with the Neely's, i really love how they enteract with each other in the kitchen...

AH! Yes, I don't like Giada either. Or Ina Garten. They both annoy me immensely.

Rachel Ray makes me ill.

i saw her in person, she came to Fenway park when i worked there for her "ball park food" segment. despite the fact that she was 10 feet away she sent an assistant over to ask me for hotdogs for the show from my bin. she couldn't even be bothered to acknowledge us with a wave hello. 

then we watched her berate her assistants for a while, until the camera clicked on and there was her fake smile and personality.

OH, and to top that, now she's peddling CRAP dog food at the supermarket called "Nutrish." not only does the name make me gag, but the fact that the food is poor quality crap.

and she uses her only redeeming quality, the fact hat she has a pit bull, in a picture on the bag to help peddle that garbage. 

Jules, don't hold back. Tell me how you really feel.

I love Alton Brown and Guy's Diners, Drive-In's and Dive's. Don't care for his new show tho. I do like Giada but agreed that her head looks huge on her body (and her teeth). Sandra Lee works my nerves.

How can you not love Gordon Ramsay. He's waving his arms around telling the jerks what effing idiots they are. I'd loved to be able to make millions while cussing people out.

 Easily.

I love Gordan Ramsey. Mostly cuz when I did a winter session at Thames my chef Laim was exactly like him. Haha.  I was thinking "oh so all chef's in england are like that huh??"  Liam was a real sweetheart though.

I love Alton Brown and Gordon Ramsay.  I used to like Rachael Ray back in the day, but she is really getting on my nerves now.  I really don't like Giada either, I just hate how she talks.

Rachel Ray. Really ANNOYING. Giada DeLaurentiis- seems very fake (saw her on an episode of next food network star where she showed her true colors) and is always wearing low cut tops- okay i wanna see what you're cooking, not your boobs! Lastly, Paula Deen, super loud and obnoxious, have you ever seen "paula's party?" ick.

I watch Guy's shows the most. Honestly there really aren't too many that I won't watch. The only ones that kinda get on my nerves are the Neelys and sometimes Paula Deen.

I like Rob Rainford and Alan Harding.  Their shows use to run back to back but I don't get that channel any more.  C'est La Vie.

Giada DeLaurentiis drives me nuts too...and I agree her head is WAY too big for her body...she doesn't look healthy being THAT thin...

I used to like rachel ray...she is annoying now.

I do like Guy a lot...and unlike most, like Paula Dean...I think it is how she uses butter for EVERYTHING that amuses me.
