Hello all =D

I have been using this great site for almost two weeks now, and I have to say thank you so much!!! It's a great free resource I wish more people new about.

A little about me:
I'm 28, I live in Italy but I'm English born. I have not been fat all my life, I was slim and in shape until I hit 24 and then I just ballooned. I'm getting married in september and I really want to be able to wear my bikini with pride on my honeymoon.

So I'm here to lose weight, hopefully make some friends and I really need some ideas for 100 cal snacks as all I have at the moment are no fat yogurts with a little bit of honey (so boring after a while).

100 calorie snacks:

  • fruit (an apple, a pear, an orange, a half a pound of strawberries (okay, that's probably too many, but 100 g makes a nice 50 cal snack), etc.)
  • my favourite is 40 cals of fruit (pineapple, peaches, strawberries, etc. - usually 100-150 grams is about right) topped with 100 g plain yogurt and either 1 tsp. honey or 1 tbsp. extra-fruit jam
  • veggies and dip - I like cucumber and/or carrot sticks with hummus, tzatziki or guacamole
  • ginormous salad topped with balsamic vinegar and 1 tsp. olive oil (no cheese or nuts!)
  • small slice whole grain bread (30 grams) toasted with 1 tbsp. light cream cheese or 1 tbsp. extra-fruit jam
  • 35 grams of dried fruit (I like dates best, but any kind works)
  • 25 grams of pretzels
  • 4 triscuits - or 2 triscuits each with a thin slice of cheese on top
  • 25 grams of a nice whole grain cereal (though I normally splurge and go with the whole 50 grams for a full serving)
  • 25 grams of cheese (or 30-35 grams if using a cheese made from partly skimmed milk)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ice cream
  • popcorn!

Oh my goodness.

In Italian we have a word, it means a mix between the best, fantastic and brilliant...susicue you are MITICA!!!

It's a shame I did the shopping today, but Thursday I'm going to take your list with meLaughing
