TV Show you just can't miss

Quote  |  Reply

What's the tv show you just can't miss each week and why?  Mine right now are Lost and the Office.  Both make time disappear when I watch them.  In fact, I was out of town so off to watch last wednesday's Lost.  Smile

oh yeah, Saving Grace makes the cut.

Heh. Except I have to mute the TV when the 'Embrace your Grace' ad comes on. Holly Hunter is way too good for such a self-absorbed spiel. ;)

Right now outo f the current shows it would be

-the office

-shameless (this is a UK show and I am in the US but I download it)

The shows I LOVE but aren't currently airing are

-dexter

-weeds

i haven't seen that.  maybe we aren't subject to it in canada?

or maybe i zoom through, because i usually record SG at 2am.

There's a website dedicated to viewers wishing to list their hopes and dreams. Fairly cheesy.

ah, i see.  so you throw an angel in there and that makes it a show for the devout, regardless of the rest of the content.  that makes me want to play mean tricks on christians.

Dollhouse (usually watch on Hulu)
Office (US version)
Biggest Loser

I don't think it's supposed to be religious as much as it is supposed to be about self-empowerment.

"I want to play hard, and live hard, and be sexy, and solve crime, and make mistakes, and love, and hate..." etc.  Sort of Mary Tyler Moore on steroids. ;D

amethyst, i've been watching dollhouse, too.  because--you know--joss and eliza and tahmoh and all.  i'm loyal that way.  but i'm not so sure....

'gator, definitely.  i don't think it's about religion at all, but you can't have those themes [angels, redemption, catholicism, priests (pedophilic and otherwise)] without drawing a certain audience.

pg - I think you gotta have faith in joss (no pun intended, re: eliza).

And I feel like the twists are still coming, without it being a Lost-esque, ridiculous twist that throws out everything we ever knew about anything.

Oh, and re: Saving Grace - I don't watch in part because I don't have time, but the ads, especially the "embrace your grace" ones really turned me off.
