Not yet my friend, but I'm working at it. :]
Lol... I'm afraid not. I'm looking for my twin too though!
Well...
I may be your twin, but born 30 years earlier! A most extraordinary happening ;-)
For real-
5' 5" , female, 130, small frame ... 51 years old...
Okay, how about "old enough to be your mother" but still a kid at heart??

almost, 5'6", between 125-130 (though I haven't seen 125 yet), but 3 years your elder :).
i want a twin! i mean a good twin too, dedicated and just like ME. why is it so hard to find one? But i'll keep truckin and hopefully one day i'll be your twin!
mosee- have you lost any weight on this site? i think we can be considered twins. 3 years and a fraction of an inch is not so big a difference.
I think I may be your twin!
I'm 5'5", 127 (this morning) and 19 years old. It is a year difference, but that's not too much!

so glad we found eachother serka! has any of this calorie counting business been working for you? what do you do (excercise/eat)? perhaps we should work on losing 10 lbs together-so far i have had no luck, even though i am following all the calorie counting rules.
If you guys want to buddy up feel free to add me as a friend too, I am pretty close to your stats. I am 19 years old, female, 5'4'' and 135 pounds. I'm only looking to lose about another 10 pounds as well. =)
yes, do join. lets make this the official 5'4-5'6, 18-19 year old females in the 130 range trying to lose ten pounds club. has a nice ring to it...anyone want to post what their weight loss efforts are?
for example: i eat 1300-1600 calories a day, take one yoga class and one dance class a week and also go to the gym 3 days a week for an hour and 15 minutes. i havent lost any weight and have been at it since january.

Hey!
Well I just started a couple days ago on the Special K diet and I've already lost 4 pounds! It's great because it's so much easier when you have specific things you have to eat all day instead of always counting calories.
I also do yoga twice a week, soccer once a week, and try to get to the gym when I have free time. I've actually been trying to diet since september, but I also end up ruining it. This is the first time I'm actually being serious about it since it's almost summer! Maybe you can try the Special K diet too? I'm eating about 1,300 calories per day, more if I work out.

I started mid-March at 147 pounds, and I'm down 12. I eat quite a bit, actually. 1700-1800 when I work out, but that is 5-6 days a week. I maintain at 1700 so I always make sure I burn at least 500 when I work out. I'm trying to increase my long distance running. I started with 2 miles and now I run 4 miles just about every other day. I combine that with weight training, eliptical, or biking (or sometimes just pair up two of the other things).
Just in case you were wondering about my profile, fencing practice is sadly over until next school term. I used to add that into the workout mix as well.
I stopped losing for the past two weeks though because I was being too lax about what I was eating, but for the past few days I've been back on track and the scale is moving downwards again. =)

i would do the special k diet but i think my family would think i was insane and never stop lecturing me about it. my family probably wouldnt feel to comfortabe with the idea that i am trying to lose weight, so i try make all of my efforts fit in with a relatively normal lifestyle. i wonder if the weight will stay off when you are done with the cereal diet-how many days in are you?
Yea I can understand that, but since I don't live at home it's not that big of a problem for me. You could try talking to them about it and saying it's only two weeks and it's not that drastic of a diet. You eat a completely normal dinner, for lunch you can have a bowl of cereal or a meal bar, then you can eat as much fruit and vegetables as you want for snacks, and for breakfast it's a bowl of cereal again.
I'm also wondering if the weight is going to stay off, I've only been doing it for a week, more or less, but not even perfect everyday. I really hope the weight will stay off too but I will probably have to watch what I eat for a while until I am really stable at my goal weight. I really think the only thing that has helped me lose already has been that I don't eat a massive lunch and instead eat a small lunch and then a snack before dinner. You could always try that instead of the special k diet. Maybe it will work?

I wish, But, I am getting there. I'm only 5'2" though not much I can do about that. :)
serka- do you maintain your regular 1300 calories on the special k diet?
hey...i'm 18, 124.6 but 5'4. i'm working on hopefully the last 10-12pds. maybe 14, we'll see.
i might be optimistic, but i'm hoping to reach my goal by June 1st. at the least, to be 10 pds less.
i started in the last week of february, joined CC the last wk of march. have went from 147 to 124.6 since the start, but honestly can't really give any tips that are worthwhile and healthy since i lost it in an opposite manner. so now i'm trying to commit to losing these last pounds healthily...or atleast the next 4. its hard because im going to a wedding 2nd wk in June and want to be at my gw 110-114 by then. so i have pressure.
this wk i've begun going to the gym 30-40 minutes each day. im eating about 1000-1200 cals but im working on that because i know its low considering the cals i burn through exercise. i'm absolutely horrified at eating the 1400 cals im supposed to but am still trying to work up to it by next wk.

Thea8 - I do maintain 1300 calories per day on the special k. I would have been at my goal weight already except that I go out with my friends on the weekends a lot to dinner and drinks and then midnight snacks, which totally sabotages my diet. :-(
What do you find makes it hard for you to lose?
Pinthin - Do you really want to lose 10 pounds? I feel like that would be too thin. The thinnest I ever was at that height was 116 lbs, not even on purpose I was just really active with intense soccer for several hours a day. A lot of people would comment and be like OMG you're arms are so thin and your collar bone sticks out! Lol, not very flattering comments. I think you would probably look and feel much better around 116-120, instead of 110-114. (but that's just my opinion) Anyway, good luck!

serka418--i appreciate your opinion but due to my body shape, i've found i looked the best in terms of weight distribution in between 110-114. that was actually my bodies natural weight originally prior to four yrs of screwing it up with restriction and yo-yo diets. so i'd like to atleast attain this weight eventually, and if it really is unflattering, i'd be fine in between 115-120--but only after i've experienced my original goal weight (110-114).
at 124.6 right now i still see so many places where fat is lodged. i am pretty sure i have a good 10-15 to take off. i know it sounds cliche, but i pretty sure i have a small frame.
i loooooove cereal. eating it twice a day would be a dream for me, but last time i had it in my house i binged on it. but maybe when i get to 120, i can try this diet to take off some quick pds. who knows. its tempting though hearing you've lost 4pds in the first few days, but i think my metab is at a halt for a bit after me losing like 13 within a week.
