First off, I'm 21, 158, 5'3, medium-large, female.

I started trying to lose weight in January because I noticed that I was gaining more weight, I've had some concerns about my health due to my weight, and I am fed up with being fat!!

What about you?
Hi!  I'm Jenna!  I'm 19, soon to be 20, and I also 5'3 with a medium frame.  I weigh 160 right now, and when I came to college I weighed 135.  I started dating my boyfriend and eating out with him all the time, and gained weight.  My goal weight is 130 for now, but I think I might try to lose 5-10lbs more after that.  I want to lose weight because I am just not as confident as I used to be and I miss that!

When I got on this webiste, a little over a month ago, I didn't get serious about losing weight right away.  In about the last 2 weeks, I have gotten more serious with exercising and counting calories every day, and I have lost roughly 7lbs so far!  I'm really excited, but I know that some of that was water weight, and I won't always lose weight that quickly!  Anyway, I'll step down from the podium now.

My goal is to be 135 by July but hope to get down to 125 eventually. I started on this site last summer at 169 pounds. I have come a long way and I have a long way to go. I am VERY good encouraging others and I enjoy it so much. I truly love to help people reach their goals.

Hi! How are my twins this morning:~)

I flaked of this morning and didn't ride my bike to work. The rain was a big turn off. I'll have to lift extra tonight. Forgot breakfast again. Dang! I know that's supposed to jumpstart your metabolism in the morning, but I never can remember till I'm late for work:) Tonight I'm going to post my measurements since I've found this is more of the incentive I need. I like looking at how many inches I've lost. My goal is 135, but I'd really like to be a size 8 when I'm all done. I wouldn't mind a size 6, but that seems like an unreachable goal since I haven't been that since I was 16.

Well, here's to a good day, and success at reaching our goals (drinks a cup of tea)
Now that it is the end of the day, I will say that I did very well. I had a breakfast bar (at 11:), half a sandwich and cup of soup for lunch, and I haven't eaten dinner yet. I haven't been very active today, so I don't have a huge deficit. I've found that I don't really have a problem eating. I'm not a big junkfood fan and I don't eat alot as a habit. Its just finding time to exercise and being motivated to do it!
I didn't eat so well today, but I definitely worked out a bit.  I did my DDR and also played softball.  We lost horribly, but that's okay cuz it's just a for fun thing for the school's intermural sports!  Still lots of fun, I miss playing softball all the time.  I played for like 7 or 8 years when I was younger.  Anyway, that's beside the point.  I kind of indulged today, but I'm alright with that, especially because I exercised more!  Overall, I think I had a pretty good day!

I am female, 21 years old, 5'3", 146 lbs. as of today, and I am going to be graduating from college in June. I'm hoping to drop ten more by graduation and eventually get down to 125 or 130. Just thought I would say hi!

PS What body type do you all have? I'm rather bottom heavy! I wear 8 on top and 12-14 on bottom.
I'm bottom heavy also. I didn't realize how bottom heavy I was til I got measured for my bridesmaid dress. 10 on top and 14 on the bottom!! I think dress sizes run bigger because I can now where a loose 12:) It used to be almost a 14 but I've lost a bit. YAY!

Hang in there lilyquist. Its ok to indulge every once in a while as long as you go back to normal the next day. It falls into the classification of zig zagging your calories. I find this helps to knock you off your platue. just make sure you go back to being good for the next week or so! I give myself one day a week that I can indulge.

I was planning on walking to work today, but my mom had to use my car to take the dog to get his shots:/ So, I'll drive home for lunch, have her bring me back to work, and then walk home tonight. I feel so bad now when I don't at least walk or bike! I'm feeling really good about my body right now though. I'm at the stage where I'm noticing that I'm looking toner. I like!!
Oh my goodness!  I'm SO excited to have found others like me!  I'm 21, female, 5'2" (most people here are a tad bit taller than I), 167 pounds (and a tab bit lighter too, lol), with a medium build.  My goal is to get down to about 130 pounds (maybe even 5-10 pounds less, but I know I have to learn to walk before I can run!).  Today (actually yesterday) officialy marks my first day of living a healthier life - I went to work out last night, but didn't start my calorie counting until today.  I've done pretty well, too!  I've never really been a big fan of junk food to begin with, but I DO LOVE my mom's cooking - which is LOADED with grease and fat... lol.  I'm done with my nonsense rambling, for now...

Hey all!! I'm 22, 164 lbs and medium build. And I'm VERY bottom heavy!!! I've got junk in the trunk!! And it's a seriously big trunk. I don't know what size my top is in numbers, but I wear size small/medium shirts....but my pants are a 14 and so far haven't dropped a single size after 15 pounds gone. Soooo frustrating!!!!
So I didn't do too hott today either!!!! :(  I will start again tomorrow though.  I am fairly well spread out as far as body type.  I've pretty much got the hourglass shape (maybe a little bigger hips than what I'd like), but I consider myself pretty lucky in that department.  I need to lose all over!  Anyway, back to the homework!
Aww... feifei and lilz, thank you SO much for making me feel all warm and fuzzy inside... lol.  I feel like I finally found where I belong in my journey of living healthier!  It's almost like a sisterhood in here!

Anyway, I think I did okay yesterday.  I did really well throughout the day, watching what I was eating.  After work, I went to the gym and burned about 230 calories - 25 minutes on the treadmill and 15 minutes on the stationay bike.  I was sweating like a pig (too much info, huh?  I know, I'm sorry), but it felt SO SO good!  For dinner, I didn't do so well.  I caved to my mom's chicken tacos - BUT, I definitely did not eat as much as I usually do <~ so that's good, right?  Either way, I stayed below my net calories for the day!  *Yay me!*  Today is another day... and I can't wait to hit the gym later!

What a gorgeous day today!! The sun is shining and I can't wait to go for a walk on my lunch break! It definately helps to have nice weather. I'm feeling so good right now! Hope everyone else is having a wonderful morning:~)
Um...guys, I think something is wrong with my scale. I just dropped 3 pounds to....155!!!I last weighed 2 days ago and was at 158. I did feel thinner today and tried on some clothes from 2 years ago that fit snug, but was able to get them to button. And then, this! I can't believe it:):)YAY!!

How could this be? I did put a 10lb weight on the scale to make sure that it was set right, and it was! I haven't seen this weight since last year:~)
