What is the typical daily percentage of carbs per day?
I usually end up between 40 and 50 percent. I shoot for 30 fat 30 protein and 40 carbs, but I usually end up at 30/20/50.
i'm almost always at around 50-60% carbs.
I'm usually around 60-65% carbs. I eat a lot of fruits, veggies and whole grains. I'm not a big meat eater but I'll eat some chicken or fish, and I LOVE beans. I have no idea how people do the low carb thing, unless they are eating large portions of meat. I've lost 45 pounds with my diet so I don't buy into the low carb craze. Maybe it works for some people though.
well i do weigh in at 268 pounds im 6"0.3
i understand that carbs help the body to produce energy so
try to take in as much carbs as i can and go out
walking or bike riding. iv lost 4lb as i weigh my
self on the 15th of every month.
I don't worry about carbs but in trying to keep my fat low (20% or less) and my protein up (20-30%), I usually end up with 50 to 60 % carbs. Protein & fiber are the main catagories I have to pay attention to in order to be where I'd like.
usually about <18% Fat, >45% protein, <35% Carbs. Somewhere around there. I just make sure most of my carbs come from veggies/fruits and it's really no worries. If you are taking in 20-30g fiber per day and less than 18g sugar you are ok I'd say. :)
Just make sure you take in a BARE MINIMUM of 50g of protein per day. You need it, trust it gives you energy comparable to coffee ;D
60% and up, without fail, but i'm vegan, so protein and fat are more difficult for me to come by. :)
You actually just made me look at mine, I think it's based on exercise and muscle mass as to how much protein you need, most things I've read say around 20% fat 30% protein and 50% carbs, though personally over the last month i'm at 15% fat, 25% protein and 60% carbs. As someone above said i don't buy into the low carb diets either. I've lost 35lbs on this diet so far so it's based more on your personal needs than any % a scientist says you need.
Why should I gain weight if I'm not significantly underweight?
Actually, at 5 feet 5.25 inches and 96 - 98 pounds, your weight is below the healthy weight range for your height and age. There are... Read more
