Hey I'm with you! I know how it feels! I have only been on this diet for two weeks. I've not even stuck to my guns that long. Today is the first day that I've decided I will not go over, and it's torture. Unfortuanetly it's something that I have to get through.

Right now I'm drinking a lot of water and reading.

Always remember you're not alone! We're here for you! Rant and rave and kick something but do not go back to the fridge! You're a strong woman and you can do this!
It's rough in the begining months. But now, even though I'm less strict than I used to be, I still could never go back to eating like how I would, and I'm still losing weight. Generally I'll let myself indulge here and there, but I pick my moments, the rest is just about forming habits and self-control which takes time. Somedays I find myself eating chocolate and ice cream and what not- and I'm like guy! what am I doing?! So I'll play some DDR2 or just drink lots of water and keep myself preoccupied until the next day. But don't worry- nothing's wrong with you

Good Luck and Take Care.
THANK YOU!!

imma put my foot down NOW!

i'm gonna tell myself that jsut after 1 week of sticking to my diet, then the rest will be a piece of cake!
good answer alwaz!  i was actually going to say about the same thing.. the begining is harder than heck but if you stick with it it WILL get better.. i promise.. there are even days (like today)where i get done with dinner and i'm really low.. so i have to make myself have a larger snack than i normally would have.. at first i found this so odd.. that i would have to make myself eat.. but there i am.. :)

if you stick to it for 1 month and you're not able to eat less without the hunger (whether it's emotional hunger or physical hunger) i'll give you your money back!  hahahaa  j/k.. but you can come and yell at me for 20 minutes!  :)  i'll give you my phone number and let you rant at me about it not being easier.. i KNOW if you stick to it you won't be calling me.. :)
I am banking on that same encouragement tonight! LOL Listen to Obsydian, she knows what she's talking about!
When I feel like eating more, I grab my rolls and remind myself why i dont want to eat any more, lol

When i feel like eating alot i brush my teeth, and grab some gum and that makes me not want the food anymore. .which is why i always have gum on hand!
I completely agree with Iskate, gum is my LIVESAVER! Brushing your teeth helps cut cravings too. And another really good tip: it takes 20 minutes for your body to digest food and realize its full--so after you've eaten, you still feel hungry, but wait 20 minutes before you go back for seconds and see if you're still hungry--most times you won't be! If you STILL are, then you probably didn't eat enough in the first place. Anyway, good luck, I'm right there with you!
when I have a big munchie hit and I'm out of calories, I have a glass of water and get up and do something for about 20 minutes-tidy up, load of laundry, go for a walk. by the end of the 20 minutes I'm usually not 'hungry' any more. if I am, I have a piece of fruit-light on calories, but will hold me over until morning. :)
Drink lots of water, look in the mirror, remind myself of what i'm trying to achieve, be hard for myself, don't give into temptation, keep your mind clear.

But you got to find something that works for YOU.
alwayz ---you play DDR too??? What level are you on?
I brush my teeth right after dinner at night and that, to me, means NO MORE EATING: Simple as that...

I have no problem with breakfast...it is between 11 AM and 4 PM that I get ravenous cravings and need to be careful what I put in my face.

I try to have healthy snacks available at all times, but when I get desparate...I will have something forbidden, but will adjust my calories at dinner accordingly.

For example: If I eat 2 ounces of cheese with avocado and pita toast at 4 PM I will NOT eat any carbs at dinner...

I've started keeping a dieter's inspiration book in my purse.  When I want something not my diet, I get it out and read a few pages.  So far it's worked pretty well.  It's been a good reminder of what I'm trying to do and why.
All of these are good answers. Let me suggest that you get physically busy if possible.  And, I pray for help.  And, yes, it does get better after a while.
