I wanted to know how many of you actually have lost weight on this plan and how much u weigh now. Tell us what is your secret . I am on this for a wk and am 130.
There's another thread asking pretty much the same thing if you wanna look that up ... it shows how much people have lost and how much they still have to go. The secret is the secret of this site ... counting calories, eating healthier foods, exercising.

started on jan. 1st. Lost 20 pounds and now weight 135.
I started this site on like January 5th of this year, started at 195+ down to 159.___ (insert decimal here lol) so a loss of about 35.8lbs since the begining. The main this I've done is cut out most soda and most junk (hey, I'm a teenager I'm meant to have some junk :P lol) I've started eating breakfast every day (never used to eat breakfast) and eat a decent lunch every day. I try to get out when I can, play DDR2 (dance, dance, revolution 2) basketball, rollerblading, or walking around the mall or something. But my main thing is getting either enough calories somedays or limiting others. Somedays I'm like meh food, ek. Others I'm like oooh chocolate, ohh ice cream! ohh look pizza! *scarfs all* ahahah! But yeah that's me. Good Luck!

started at 144 on Feb 3rd, now Im 129.5.... 14.5 pounds!! GONE 9.5 more to go...

Started Jan 9th at 254 lbs and I'm down to 226 as of last week total loss is 28lbs.
I agree with readnchick and alwayzfreetobeme...there's no secret, or if there is, it's a pretty ho-hum secret. It's just watching what you eat and moving more, and there's still room for treats, you just work them in. I couldn't go for the rest of my life without cake (I just had some this evening!) but I write it down so one slice is just one slice! What matters is not how "well" you did today, or yesterday, or tomorrow, but how you do, on average, over weeks, months and years.
Ok. That said, I started logging here in late December 05. I was eating mindlessly too much, and overeating without really thinking about it. I run a lot, so I wasn't overweight, but I'm 28, so it was going to catch up with me soon; I could tell. I didn't intend to lose weight, but I could afford to, and I have lost a little; ~8 lbs. I'm 5'4" and have gone from 128 to 120 today, though I've dipped to 118 several times in the last few days, so I'm still losing, but more slowly now.

I started again after moving for a month on Feb 21st and weighed in at 238, yesterday april 13th I weighed in at 224. So I have lost 14lbs and have lots to go to get to at least 170. It does work, I can eat what I want, just not as much as I was used to. Need to realize how much I am taking in each day.
at my heaviest I weighed 165, lost some then gained and came here in
November last year at near 150 I am now down to 126/127 somewhere in
there.

I started here on March 23rd at 179... three weeks later I am 174 and thats with an 11 day platue stuck in there! I needed to rework things, lower the fat, up the protein, up the calories a bit and added the eliptical machine to my routine. Oh, and instead of doing the same thing at the gym every day, I mix it up. One day upper chest, bback and arms, the next legs and thighs the next butt and abs.... I do abs every day right now because I am in the tummy challenge.
Oh the secret.... DO IT. If your gonna do it then do all of it. Feed yourself a healthy diet, water and make sure you exercise.
I lost 35 pounds over 9 months using the tools on this site. No secret...just had the desire to change.

I started at the first of the year at 209. I'm down 22.5 lbs to 186.5 but I am told it looks like 30+. I wish I had taken my measurements. I'm down 2 sizes and I will have to go get new underwear soon. I've been staying between 1100-1500 calories on most days with a few lapses. I've been exercising from Day 1 primarily the elliptical with 2 days of weights and and some other gym classes. I',m almost a 1/3 of the way with about 50 more to go

I have been doing much better since the weather is nicer and I can outside and walk. I am up to about 2.8 almost 3 miles every day. No excuses..TOday it was raining and I got on my treadmill. I life free weights and use my exercise ball as least 3 times a week.
I started my diet and exercising at around the end of March 2006. So far I have lost over 25 pounds. I am very proud of myself. :)
I only just found this website, only a few days ago, but it is absolutely perfect for my needs! Hopefully I can lose about 14 more pounds with the help of Calorie-Count and be in great shape!

Joined around the end of May at 5'6", 134.
Currently down to 128, and lost an inch off everything that people measure (even thighs!).
I stick to 1200-1300 cals a day as I am not very active, but I just signed up to work with a personal trainer to get back into the exercise groove.
