Uck.. I have already had a whole days worth of calories!

I went to lunch with some friends... Hot dog heaven... I NEVER go, but today I did and I am already at 1200 calories... I usually have 1400-1600...  SO.. Now I have to go home and work out like I have never worked out before!  No big deal... Just one day, and I can fix it with lots of water (oh yes there were fries!) and a nice long work out!  I just wanted to have a post on here that was a holy crap I went over but I can fix it so that newbies can see it is not the end of the world!

Yeah I got a freakin' muffin this morning, thinking it was around 250-300 calories. Well, I looked it up as I was eating it and it was 440! So that obviously threw my whole day off, but I just finished about 3/4 of it and tossed the rest. I am going to eat a smaller dinner and do more cardio.

You are right, it is not the end of the world.  Even if you eat the total of your expenditure calories it will not be a disaster.  It only really becomes an issue when you eat over your expenditure.   How does the numbers look for the entire week?  Isn't that what really counts?

Honestly I have been doing really well this week the only thing I am even a little worried about today is the fact that I had a lot of salt on the fries, so I am trying to drink a TON of water to make up for it... I am probably going to eat a small dinner as my fiance is not going to be home till late so I can get away with that, and the work out. I should be fine!  I just wanted the ones that always freak out to see that it is NOT the end of the world and that it is pretty easily fixed....  watch me get on the scale tomorrow and have lost! That would be great!

I was really proud of myself yesterday; I did a really good workout in the morning and by the time I put the kids to bed I was sitting pretty on around 620 calories in deficit. Then, even though I wasn't really hungry, I fancied a bit of cheese.  420 calories later I was left feeling so disappointed in myself and slightly sick.  It wasn't even that much cheese but all my hard work at the gym was for nothing.

Oh well.  My husband told me that tomorrow was another day and at least I hadn't eaten more than I worked off so it didn't really matter.  And that's my advice to you. Tomorrow is another day to make yourself proud so don't fret. :)

do not feel bad today for lunch I ate a hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy i am new at this whole calorie counting thing so when i looked up how many calories were in that i was shocked 771 calories in that meal and 24 grams of fat. I definately going to need a long work out too.

Haha! Today is my very first day. I put in some rough numbers of what I will be eating tonight.. stuffed shells I made yesterday. I thought that because I used low fat cheese and ground turkey that I would be safe. Nope... this is going to be tougher than I imagined.

Tell me about it. I ate some carbs pretty late last night but did a few laps around the block. I seem to crave carbohydrates when I am lacking sleep O-o
