ugggh so bloated...
About 2 hours after dinner I was hungry again so I ate 40 cals of carrots and an apple..not a whole lot, so why do I feel so INSANELY bloated and huge right now?? gah.
Carrots and apples are both quite tough things for the stomach to break down.... Apples are pretty acidic as well. So your stomach is working away, creating acid, creating gas... result a little bloating. Sip some warm water, take a walk. Both will help your digestion.
oh dang that makes sense...is it bad that I ate bloat-y foods so late at night? I've noticed that whenever I eat past like 10 at night I feel horribly bloated the next morning too, and then I never want to eat in the morning and gah I don't know what to do. Because I figure I SHOULD eat at night if I'm hungry , but maybe i'm not actually hungry if like 100-150 cals satisfies me. idk.
Pick more easily digested foods later on in the evening and maybe stop eating at 10pm? Easily digested foods are things like cooked fruit, plain toast, milky drinks, yoghurt. Eat more earlier on in the day perhaps....
g.i jane, cooked fruit? maybe I am having a brain fart right now, but I can't recall any types of fruits you cook... except maybe baking fruit in a pie...
Cooked fruits are GREAT! You can grill stone fruits like plums, peaches etc (yup, right on the grill. Pineapple is great on the grill too.)...poach pears, bake apples (and pears) with a little simple syrup and cinnamon, saute berries and reduce them into sauces you can stir in greek yogurt (or on a cheat day...put on ice cream or frozen yogurt). My mom makes a sort of casserole of fruit. She dices peaches, pears, pineapple, maybe a little apple and possibly some sweet potato (I know...not a fruit, but still) and she mixes the whole lot with apple sauce, nutmeg and cinnamon, throws it in the oven at 370 an bakes it for 30 minutes or until tender. So freakin good. Sometimes she mixes in canned cherries too.

although apples are good, on a empty stomach they let off some gas! therefor you get bloating! if your stomach isnt settling with the apple, maybe go for a cup of strawberries or raspberries!
Oh ok! Ya I am definitely going to try and abstain from extra snacking after dinner, I would feel much better.
How do you cook fruit if you have say...just a microwave? Like me in my dorm room haha
